My daughter just turned 10 & loved it . Some parts were missing when shipment arrived. I would recommend it for tweens.

We bought this desk for my husband.It took him a couple of days to assemble due to very poor instructions. Once he had it together it looks great. The printer does take up half of the desk space however, with the monitor on the little shelf there is ample space for writing. It is sturdy and looks great in our den.

Bought this desk for my son. Easy to put together and pretty sturdy. Will work nicely for him in his room.

Directions not clear. Over 2 hours to assemble. Once assembled, looks nice.

came in a really smashed box. Alot of the pieces had chips on the corners or scratches. It looks nice, but quality is not so great.

The desk is great for my first apartment, and looks lovely. I have three minor complaints:1) The assembly was slightly confusing. There are times when the picture in the instructions do not tell you which way to flip the piece. I ended up with two piece of particle board showing instead of the pretty finish, and didn't realize it until it was too late. For the most part, though, the directions are very clear and made for a person who has no clue what to do with tools (like me).2) Included are 2 sets of plastic drawer slides. However, the way they are packaged, it only looks like there is one. I ordered the "missing" part before I realized that it was just the way it was packaged.3) The edges are very sharp - not the corners, but the edges. For example, when I am typing on my laptop, the undersides of my forearms end up with deep marks. I also like to put my feet up on the desk, but it hurts because the edges are so sharp.But overall, this is a sturdy, functional, chic piece for your study, bedroom, etc.

Desk came on time and in perfect condition with all the parts intact. After setting it up, it looks great and works very well. Putting the desk together did take a bit of work, but the end result is worth it. As a college student, this desk is perfect for my small space and budget. The desk space has just enough room for all my essential studying materials and is very functional. I would not recommend this desk for a very tall person, since the small height may prove to be uncomfortable.

This is a great desk if you're looking for something cheap, sturdy, and descent-looking. It's a good, medium size desk that works for my New York apartment (it's not huge and it's not tiny). The finish isn't super-nice. The drawer does is not very smooth. This could have been remedied if they simply used the same roller as on the keyboard drawer. Luckily I had this delivered, because the box is pretty heavy. I put mine together in about 2 hours.FYI: the desk is made in Mexico by a Canadian company.

This is a great desk, especially when you consider the price. The desk did take me awhile to put together. A few of the pieces were not marked with a letter, so I had to use the process of elimination to figure out which ones were which, but I eventually got it together. The drawer also is a little tricky because it is hard to get the screws in all the way, but part of that was just the fact that I did not have the right kind of tools. With the right tools, I'm sure it would be better.Now that the desk is assembled, I absolutely love it. It is very sturdy, with a good amount of storage space. I have a laptop, so I use the keyboard tray for storage, as well. It looks great, and I feel like I should have paid a lot more for it.

Not only does this desk complement my decor, but it's functional and takes up a small amount of floor space. Probably my best purchase yet from Target!

I was looking for a small office desk, but not too small. I also wanted a little shelf for my small collection of books, a clock and maybe office supplies. I went to several stores ([...]) to no avail. Afterwards, I literally searched for hours on the internet and came accross this one. The material is very sturdy unlike some of those crumbly [...] desks. It took a little over an hr to put together (you need 2 people), but this desk is exactly what I was looking for. I have a high leather office chair and it fits comfortably in place. The drawer is quality and slides smoothly and the space between the top of the desk and the bottom of the shelf is enough to put a box of envelopes standing, or to better explain you can stand your cds under the book shelves. There is plenty of arm room. I am on my laptop now and have room to write in my notebook to my right (with notebook fully open).This is a winner and it was definetly worth the price. Short answer: Great desk for a college student or someone who doesn't have a lot of space, but needs a good "work" area.Long answer:I spent a month or two trying to find a good cheap desk. I had pretty much given up since I couldn't find anything when I found this little gem.As a college student I don't have very much room to spare, but this fit perfectly infront of my window (little longer on each end than the actual window frame). The upper portion has plenty of room to put a lamp, hole punch, small plant, and pen holder. Since I use a laptop I use the keyboard tray to place my books so I can look down at my book and simultaneously type, but there is still room ontop of the desk to have a laptop, binder, and book if you put the book above the binder.The lower open portion of the desk has PLENTY of room to stretch your legs out. The open large cubby space also had a lot of room; I have school supplies (binder, paper, notebooks, etc) toward the back and my current books in front still room inbetween both sets. The open area above the larger one can hold about a 1" binder plus an "average" size textbook (quick grab for me). The drawer itself is very roomy. It is currently holding my check box, highlighters, (large) camera, and some pens with a good bit of room left to spare. I also purchased a black bungee chair to go with the desk and it is also a perfect fit as well as a great chair. I am extremely happy with this desk. It doesn't feel cheap and is very sturdy- what more could you ask for? Also, it arrived without scratches or any damage as it was packed fairly secure.The only complaint I have is the directions were awful. Thankfully, I usually only need to look at the picture to figure out what I'm doing, but a lot of these parts looked similiar so you HAVE to read the badly written directions. Some of the parts have letters stamped on them while others don't so you have to guess which part looks similar to the picture. It took me 3 hours to put together and since I have a wood floor I had to ask my friend to help me with it a few times to put certain pieces together since I didn't want it to scratch. If you have a carpet floor it would probably be easier.
