Q: How heavy is this bed? Does it need anything underneath the mattress? What depth of mattress is recommended particularly for top bunk.

A: Hello MJ, great question! This metal bunk bed weighs 95 pounds. Because there are metal support beams that run across both the top and bottom bunk bed a box spring is not required. It is recommended that a mattress no higher than 9 inches be used on both the bottom and top bunk. Hope this information helps in making your decision!

I bought these bunk beds for my 7 year old twin boys to replace a wooden set that needed to be retired. These were easy to put together just by myself (36 yr female) and took maybe 1.5 hours. They look great and feel sturdy. For the price I'd definitely recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, let me start by saying this Bunk Bed set is absolutely beautiful. Aside from that, the quality and durability are also excellent. I feel like one of the best features of it, is the space it allows between the Bunk Beds themselves. That is hard to find with a lot of sets, but not this one. The space in-between is great! If you're worried about one that may be too low, and heads may be bumped, you definitely do not need to worry with this set!

I also really like that even the bottom bunk has rails on the end to keep pillows from falling off. Many other bunk beds I've seen only do that for the top bunk. Just have to make sure your child knows the bars are there so they don't hit their head on them. Bed was easy to assemble with two people and all necessary tools were provided. My only complaint is that the ladder rungs are round and small so all your weight goes right into the arch of your foot as you climb it - although children are lighter so it's probably not an issue. Can always install some padding on the rungs.

This feature gives it a lot of value for my family's needs. The design is nice. Its modern yet simple, making it easy to fit into almost any style bedroom. My husband and son put this together without any issues. The instructions were illustrated step by step making it visually easy to see what you needed to do. The tools came with it. Its sturdy, has nice guardrails on top, and each bed can hold up to 200 lbs.

I was able to accomplish this without any assistance by myself! I did have one mistake where the upper rail attaching to the ladder was upside down and I did have to reassemble. The instructions are super clear but just watch out for that particular part. Love the construction of this love how I feel like this is going to be super safe

I loved that its a space saver but was quite shocked at how easy it was to assemble! I can move it around when I need to and the white metal fits in perfectly with the rest of the decor in the room.

So far so good had a little trouble putting it together one mattress support bar was bent so couldn't use that one because it was defective I've had to deal with this before from another company I was hoping I didn't have to go through that again but other then that all is well after a long day!

Decent value for the price, very sturdy once put together.
However, there are ~48 plastic locking tabs that have to be inserted into the side beams to keep the mattress-supporting bunk slats in place. These are non-removable! This also makes the slats unremovable. If you intend to move, keep in mind that you will be unable to break down the bed slats themselves, and will have to transport the bed with the supporting bed support structure in place.

These bunk beds have a lot of desirable features: you can use a full-size mattress on the top, each bunk has a high weight limit, and you can separate them into two beds, and good price. It assembled easily with two people and our kids love them. My only concern is how easily you can disassemble the mattress slats once you've inserted the plastic tabs. We move frequently so I don't know if we'll be able to take it apart without damaging those tabs. I'm still very pleased with the purchase though.

There are a lot of pieces however took about 2 hours to build. I recommend following the instructions completely. Worth the price. Only negative was the box that it came in was completely broken but luckily all the pieces were there.

Took some time to assemble. Definitely 2 person job. But it is absolutely perfect for my teenage twins. I would definitely recommend
