Great quality. easy to assemble

I purchased these counter height stools for my renovated kitchen island and the Salima light fixture. They perfectly matched my pewter grey cabinetry. They were a complete fail beyond beauty. They didn't function for me. I'm 5'1" and when I tried to sit back properly I couldn't reach enough of the foot rest to push off to position myself. So I kept hanging on the edge and sliding off. The only time I got all the way into the chair I had to pull myself up on the countertop and then I still couldn't reach the footrests and my legs dangled. Everyone else is tall, 6' & 6' 3" and they had no issues because they didn't need the footrest for positioning. Even if I was tall I wouldn't have these chairs because smaller guests or kids would slide right off.

Stools look good in the space. They're sturdy, and the mechanism that allows it to swivel works well. So far, so good. However although they were easy to put together one of them had a flaw. The back material was not pulled taut during the manufacture build, and therefore looks old and worn right out the box. This was not part of the assembly process and therefore there was nothing we could do to correct it. I've added a pic showing the comparison of that chair with the others.

Assembly instructions could be a little more detailed but end product is one of quality and beauty.

I had originally bought 4 of these stools and decided to add 2 more as they are supremely comfortable and beautiful. The genuine leather gray color goes very well in my kitchen. The fact that they swivel and have a sturdy foot rest adds to the great design
