Extra-Strength Healthy Hip & Joint Bite-Sized Chews represent the third stage in our comprehensive life stages joint support program for dogs, and is recommended for dogs in need of maximum joint support. It is also recommended by veterinarians for geriatric and working dogs and as a follow-up to support normal recovery after orthopedic surgery.

Good purchase!
I gave 4 stars just because of the overpowering smell when I opened the bag. My pups LOVE them though, so that's what is important! Their first bag so can't tell if they are going to make a difference yet.

I'm optimistic
Just started this with my older dog. So far, so good. She likes it and I hope it helps her mobility. Other Vetriscience products work great (UTI and dental chews) so I am optimistic

This item is a wonderful supplement for my dog. It helps to keep his joints healthy. But the shipping of this item is ridiculously slow. It has been almost two weeks and I still don’t have it.

Tasty and health
My fur baby's vet recommended these for his recently diagnosed hip dysplasia. I love that they are hydrolyzed, as it's easier for him to digest given his IBS. He loves them.

Vet recommended to me
Great product for my old dogs, they love them like treats, which makes it easy! Only thing I don't like is the chemicals they use, can't these be left out? Propylene glycol is not healthy for animals, especially ones with compromised health.

Wonderful for mobility issues.
This product really helps my dog who had a leg injury. She walks and runs easily now.

So Far, So Good...
I have had a very good experience so far with these supplements. I started giving them to my 1 y/o dog, who has medial luxating patella in both knees to help protect her joints. We only started 2 weeks ago so I can't really say I have noticed a magical difference, which is why I am only giving 4 stars and not 5. My pup can be pretty picky about treats, but she never hesitates to eat this chew! We also sell these at the vet clinic I work at and have had a lot of success with patients on it!

Amazing product!
My 12 year old lab is like a new dog since she's been taking these! Her comfort and mobility have vastly increased and her pain has decreased. Would definitely recommend giving them a try!

Not for dogs with sensitive stomachs
I gave one chew to my dog right after she ate her meals, and she was nauseous for several hours afterwards. She even got sick one time. This was the only thing we changed with her diet. Use with caution on dogs with sensitive stomachs.

We'd recommend administering with meals to offset the possibility of stomach upset. If that doesn't work, you may want to break up the dosing between AM and PM to make it easier to digest. You can also consider the GlycoFlex 3 chewable tablets, which may be easier on your dog's stomach. Please let us know if any of these solutions work or if there's anything else we can do to help. My favorite dog joint supplement!
I have a large golden retriever that has had elbow issues for the past few years. I started this product hoping he would be more comfortable and happier during our normal activities. He had started to slow down and wasn't moving as fluidly. After a few months on this product, he was beating me down the trails and recovering well after our long hikes. The chews are tasty or at least he thinks so! I highly recommend this product to all my friends with large breed dogs.

My dog loves them.
My dog tore her tendon from her knee (surgery and plate/screws) and has some arthritis in her hip. After taking these for a few weeks, she gets up normally and can run around the backyard. Quite Noticeable difference.

Terrible texture! Broken all to pieces
I ordered these treats for the first time and it took a while for them to get here because the postsl service kept bouncing them around between cities. When they finally got here, I opened the bag to see the treats... weird texture, almost dried out! A crumbly mess. Serving size is 2 treats for my dog... but I don't know what the size should be so I just grab some chunks and dust to toss in my dogs food. The bag says store in a cool, dry place and I'm thinking that did not happen for a while!

I love this product for my seniors! I've been using it for years and I always tell people to put their dogs on it. If you have a senior, this should be in your rotation for sure.

No disclosure of calories (Fat, Carbs, Sugar or Protein
Dog on diet but I can't find calories listed per chew on bag or web site. No info on Fat, Carbs, Added Sugar or Protein. Also is not listed on web site. I need to count calories for my dog now and will have to give these up. If you don't need to know these things, then dogs love them.
