I purchased this coffee table through Target and carefully assembled it according to the instructions. Within just two days of normal use, the table failed structurally. This wasn’t due to misuse or heavy wear—just everyday, light use in a family living room. For a piece of furniture, that’s simply unacceptable. What made this more disappointing was the follow-up experience. I contacted Target customer service immediately after the issue occurred, only to be told I was outside of the 30-day return window—by two days from delivery. In reality, I had only been using the assembled table for about a week. Despite explaining this, and despite the product clearly failing almost immediately after use, there was no flexibility, no escalation option, and no willingness to stand behind the quality of the item being sold on their platform. I understand policies exist, but when a product breaks almost instantly under normal conditions, there should be some level of accountability—especially from a retailer that positions itself as customer-focused. Being told there was “nothing that could be done” and that I couldn’t speak to anyone further was extremely disappointing. At this point, I would strongly caution others before purchasing. The quality of this item does not match expectations, and if something goes wrong, you may not receive the support you’d reasonably expect. I hope this review encourages both the manufacturer and Target to take a closer look at product quality and customer experience in situations like this.
