Q: Is this rack safe to use with only one bike mounted in the top position, and no bike on the lower level?

A: Hello gws! You can use only the top position as long as the bike is placed as close as possible to the vertical supports. Hope this helps!

Instructions were not so clear, as I had to unscrew and move the pieces around to fir properly multiple times. There was also one of the locking knobs missing in my package, and I have to wait to finish putting it together. All in all, it's a good looking, sturdy stand, and it's a great option for anyone who doesn't want to drill into their wall.
