Q: How do you clean the mesh net?

submitted by MommaRose - 1 year ago
  • A: Halo here! You may try cleaning the mesh with a soft cloth and mild soap

submitted byHalo Brand - 1 year ago
  • A: Can be removed and machine washed. That is what Halo’s instruction manual says, so I’m not sure why a Halo representative is saying to spot clean it.

Q: El colchón y la maya se puede meter en la lavadora?

submitted by Esequiel - 5 months ago
  • A: This question is asking "Can the mattress and mesh be put in the washing machine?" The answer is that the breathable mesh sides can be unzipped and placed in the washing machine. The sheet that comes included can be machine washed, however the pad itself is spot clean only. Hope this helps.

Q: Hi! Is this mattress included breathable? If I have the halo waterproof mattress cover, is that breathable too?

submitted by KAB - 10 months ago
  • A: The standard HALO® mattress pad is designed for comfort and safety. If you’re looking for a more breathable option, we recommend the DreamWeave™ BassiNest® pad, which features an air-permeable design.

Q: Can the bassinet be rolled around the house

submitted by Wheels for rolling - 1 year ago
  • A: Thanks for the question. No the BassiNest Swivel Sleeper 3.0 does not include wheels, so it can't be rolled around the house. That said, the top/bed section of the BassiNest detaches from the base and this can be moved around the home and used as a place to put baby when you need a hands free moment.

The bassinet has received positive feedback for its thoughtful design, particularly the 360-degree swivel feature and adjustable height, making it convenient for parents to access their newborns. Many guests appreciate the ease of assembly and the sturdy construction. However, some concerns were raised about the size of the base and the locking mechanism for the side, which can be cumbersome. Overall, it is seen as a valuable addition for new parents looking for a bedside solution.

    Buyer Beware

I received this as a gift purchased through my target baby registry. When I opened it, I realized that it was used, covered in hair and what smelled like pee, and scratched all over. Awful experience as this is my first baby and the first item i’ve received through my registry. The exchange process wasn’t pleasant either as they expected me to personally return the item rather than being able to ship it back for a new one. I had to get the person who purchased it for me on the phone in order for them to allow a shipping exchange. I do not recommend purchasing this online or registering through Target for baby items as there seems to be a lack of care when it comes to baby related returns.

I dont love it but I also dont hate it enough to return it

I don’t love it but I also don’t hate it enough to return it. I do feel this bassinet is very safe for my baby. That’s what I love about it. I’ve purchased other bassinets and returned them after observing how unsafe they were for my baby. I also like that it swivels and rocks/swings side to side but you do have to use your hands so I’ve wondered if I should’ve upgrade to a bassinet that does it automatically. Other than though, I don’t love that the legs stick out so much, it takes up a lot of space. In addition, during late night baby feedings I often trip over the legs so that part is unsafe. My bed is lower to the ground so the legs don’t really fit below the bed frame nicely. I personally don’t love the collapsible side wall, I prefer bassinets that hug the bed and have an open window to easily grab the baby but that’s just my preference.

    Love this bassinet

I love how this swivels over the bed, so my baby is close to me at night time. This bassinet makes night time feeds so much easier, and it eases my anxiety to have my baby so close. The mesh sides are nice so that I can see him easily while he is asleep. We were able to set it up easily next to our bed. We hsve a smaller bedroom, but the base still fit easily next to (and partially under) the bed.

    Honest full review

I don’t like that you can’t lock the bassinet from swiveling. I have an active baby and she has turned the bassinet herself before. And it makes it like a toy for my toddler. It is also not very big. My 4 month old doesn’t have much space in there now that she is actively trying to roll over. When I lay her down and she is stretched to her full length she maybe has a couple inches above her head and below her feet before she it’s touching the walls of the bassinet. She easily gets herself pushed against the side which I don’t love even though it is mesh

    Do not buy

I really regret buying this bassinet. The bottom base is super big and lunky and it cannot be moved from room to room. Buy a bassinet with wheels or spend more for a higher quality one.

Thank you for the honest feedback. We're sorry to hear you didn't love BassiNest. One cool thing about this model is that the top can detach and be moved into other rooms (understanding the base is built to be sturdy and spacious and therefore not as moveable.) We'll share this feedback with our team.

    Unsafe sleep

Initially, I felt like the base of this was so wide and I kept tripping on it. But figured that probably made it more safe and less likely to tip. I was wrong. The bassinet rocks and has a slant to it. This makes it easier for my baby to roll and I’m consistently worried about SIDS based on his position in the bassinet. This design should be recalled and the tilt issue addressed.

The legs are a tripping hazard

Cons- the legs are a tripping hazard. Unless you put it in a corner, I would NOT recommend this bassinet at all! The mattress pad is a weird shape and hard to put sheets on. Pros- adjustable height to match your bed, swivels, the side is flexible and you can pull it down so you can reach your baby but it’s still secure.

Thanks for the honest review. We've shared this feedback with the team. We do recommend using the HALO BassiNest brand sheets because they are best-sized to fit the BassiNest mattress pad (they'll also be easier to get on and off vs. sheets from non-HALO brands.)

    A must have for registry

We have a tall bed and this bassinet fits perfectly with just enough room to pull it slightly over so I can transfer my baby easily. Being able to remove the basket part is convenient when we travel. The base is rather large but fits under our bed. I recommend it to anyone.

    Great bassinet

This is a great option to have at your bedside if you have the space. The swivel action is great to let you move it out of the way to get into and out of bed, especially in those first days after giving birth. The drop down side makes night feeds easier so you don't have to stand up to get your baby out. The legs are a bit tall, so make sure you have enough under bed clearance to fit the feet, and they stick out fairly far. I ended up painting them with glow in the dark paint so I wouldn't stub toes at night. It was easy to put together, only took me about 15 minutes.

    C section must have!

I cannot imagine my baby’s first two months without this bassinet. I didn’t originally buy it but after first night at home after a c section I sent my husband to go pick it up. It makes all the night time wake ups so much easier while recovering. I could sleep almost face to face with my baby and stick my arm in to settle her. So much easier to get her in and out. It is expensive but the collapsable side makes it worth it. I have 100% tripped on it because of the base but it’s been very sturdy so the base serves its purpose. It is a necessity after a c section!

    Love love love this bassinet

Seriously a game changer. This bassinet has been amazing. I love that my baby can see me and I can see him while we are both lying down. The drop down side has been so convenient when nursing in the. Isn’t. My little premie is about to outgrow the bassinet and I’m going to miss the convenience of it a lot when he does. I cannot recommend this highly enough!

    Horrible

We added this bassinet to our registry because it clicked all of the boxes my friends had suggested I look for in bassinet. It didn't take up a lot of floor real estate (we live in a tiny apt). The sides go down, which my friends who had had c-sections said would come in helpful. Our baby HATED this thing. Would not sleep in it generally. The sides that are supposed to be easy to push down, not so much. Every time I wanted to transfer the baby over and push down, it took so much strength that I would inevitably rouse the baby from his sleep. If by a miracle I was able to make the transfer happen, the locking mechanism for the push down sides is so loud that he would wake up whenever I tried to lock the bassinet up. Also, the footprint, not that small. And it is not easy to remove from base to use as something you can take around the house. The videos make it looks super easy, but it's not small and for someone with a c-section, not easy / light at all to lift. A lot of things need to be worked out in this design. . . I was able to put my baby in it maybe 3 times total. We ended up just using a pack in play and he loved sleeping in that infinitely more. Even more frustrating, this incredibly expensive item on my registry can't be returned. Halo won't help us. No one will. Now I have this stupid large item in my tiny apt. Hate it.

    Amazing for Unexpected C-Section Recovery

After an unexpected C-section, it was difficult for me to get in an out of our tall bed to get our newborn out of the bassinet we had. We purchased this the day we got home from the hospital to be able to get baby in and out without leaving bed, and it’s been a lifesaver! Love being able to see him right from bed since he’s next to me and easily get him in and out with the lowering side.

    Safety issue

Hated it. No locking mechanism on the swivel option. Which is dumb. Big problem is the legs is also a trip hazard - the legs are so much more wider than the actual bassinet top. We’ve tripped on it so many times. Our room isn’t tight at all - it’s just poorly designed. I bought this from the closest Target store which is about 2hrs away from where I live - and now I’m approaching almost a week out from my due date and they do not give you an option to return in mail even though product has a safety issue. Such a bummer.

    Improvemmts need to be made

I think the idea of this is good but the product needs to be improved. The bassinet itself is not level and tilts to one side making it easier for the baby to turn to the side that’s tilted down, the base is way too bulky and takes up too much room (I’ve tripped over it multiple times), the sound feature only has 2 noise levels which is weird, the light feature doesn’t really help at all because you still can’t see anything with it on. Also, the feature that allows you to move the bassinet in a circle (not the rotating feature) is extremely hard to maneuver. I do like that it is mesh all around, I like the firm mattress and how tall it is because I haven’t been able to find any other tall bassinets. All the rest are right at the height of the bed and my husband can’t see the baby because they’re too low, This one he can see from the other side of the bed. This bassinet would be good if these improvements were made.

New Mom! It is worth EVERY PENNY!!

LOVE this bassinet! I was originally using the graco pack and play for my son but the mesh didn’t give great visibility. It was also more work to check on my son when he would make noise / drop his pacifier because I would have to sit up or partially sit up. This bassinet was a game changer! The mesh allows me to see my son easily and the adjustable height is just what I needed! I have him right next to me and it makes me feel safe to be able to simply open my eyes to check on him or simply reach my arm over to get his pacifier. I don’t like to spend money on items that are only used for a limited amount of time but this one is worth it! It’s worth it for your peace of mind and sleep! Also, I HAVE A VELCO BABY and this worked fantastic! He fell asleep the first time we laid him down in it, he was so comfortable!

    Meh

It’s good at first especially if you have a c section but after a few weeks I felt like it was getting flimsy and if stopped locking. You have to have hardwood to make sure it stays level. My newborn never rolled on it or anything and it’s not necessarily big like other reviews mention, it’s that the legs are so spread out that it takes up a lot of foot space and it’s easy to bump into it. The right idea is there but the execution not so much. The pad is also super hard my baby slept better in her crib than on this so I eventually just put her crib next to my bed.
