Love the space it has for my baby. So far I’ve had it for 2 months and have no complaints. Don’t use the wheels so I can’t comment on that. Other than that I love that it has music, vibration and a night light.

I was very frustrated assembling this. The steps are actually out of order! I felt the materials were very cheap. The mattress is very thin, plastically and uncomfortable. I do not reccommend!

We use this as our primary sleeping place for our newborn. It is in our room and we bought it for the storage underneath, the style, and the wheels! My biggest complaint is the wheels. We have hard plank vinyl floors and wheel this between the home office and bedroom 6 feet apart… these wheels could honestly not be worse. They constantly lock - which is a good thing for safety reasons but oh so frustrating when you have a crying baby in one hand and are trying to wheel this with ease one room over. The wheels are also very flimsy and feel like a cheap baby doll stroller. For the price, I’d expect just a bit more quality, but overall pleased with the purchase - especially on days when it stays put in our room :)

The bassinet is okay…the rocking is manual and finicky. Either a push is too hard and the baby is nearly rolling with the movement or too soft where it barely moves at all. The vibration is great BUT only last a few minutes and abruptly turns off which wakes the baby up…I wish there was a timer setting and then it gradually died down. Those are our biggest complaints and honestly they’re enough for me to not recommend this bassinet.

This bassinet has been fine, but we will not be using this with our next baby. The wheels always pop back in and it's really a safety issue. My daughter will be sleeping and randomly one of the wheels will pop back in causing the bassinet to shift down. Very annoying.

Pros It’s large It’s sturdy when it’s all put together The wheels work ok. Not great on carpet. It rocks good but not on carpet. Cons It’s a bit taller than I wanted. It’s kinda wide because of the rocking. The rocking is manual not powered. The vibration and music functions only last 5 minutes and turn off. BIG CON. If you are going to use in on a hard floor and the electronic functions are not important then it’s a great deal.

Nice but you can't get extra sheets
4 out of 5 stars
allison - 6 months ago, Verified purchaser
The bassinet comes with one sheet. The model number isn't listed as compatible with any of the bassinet sheets offered by the brand, so I contacted them and they confirmed that "the Shooting Star Rocking Bassinet does not currently have compatible extra sheets available". So if there's a spitup or diaper accident on the sheet you have to . . . just not put the baby down until it's been washed, I guess. Or try a noncompatible sheet and see if it fits tightly enough to be safe. Also, the music/vibration module only works if not screwed too tightly to the bassinet. It will work when not attached, but not when the screws are tightened to their max. Loosen them a bit and it still seems secure, but will actually operate.

Overall will not be using for next baby. Cons which made me regret purchase: #1 mesh is not see through because there is a double layer, why!? Next the sleeping surface is very very firm. The light and music are no good, the vibration is somewhat helpful. The wide base makes it stable but my husband and I were constantly stubbing our toes on the wide corners and waking the baby. Also the mobile doesn't spin, manually or mechanically. Pros: storage underneath is nice, wheels made it more portable but they don't roll smoothly at all. Putting it together wasn't hard, I was able to do it myself at 30 weeks pregnant. Like other reviewers I wasn't thrilled with the chunk of wood board under the mattress pad. We used generic bassinet sheets and they fit well.

I was debating buying the SNOO but couldn’t get past the sticker shock. Thought I’d give this one a try. It is amazing! I love how it has the option to be used as a rocking bassinet for babies who like that type of motion, and the vibration mode is a life saver! If my baby starts fussing in the middle of the night all I have to do is reach over to hit the button and she falls right back asleep. The only con is I’m really struggling transferring the baby to her crib because she sleeps so well in here!

I have a love hate relationship with this bassinet! It is wonderful that it has wheels and we use the vibration and light option on it frequently. However, when you lift the mattress out it has a puke smell to it that I cant figure out. I’ve washed all the parts to it and it continues to smell months later. I think it’s the wood piece under the mattress. Also the wheels are awful on this. Trying to move it on carpet is so frustrating…especially in the middle of the night. It’s not exceptionally sturdy but it does get the job done. The bottom of the bassinet is very wide and barely fits on the side of the bed. The vibration and light make this essential and it’s a nice large size but I’m guessing you can buy a light/vibration contraption and put it on a more solid bassinet option. I think that’s what we will do for next baby.

Never returned anything faster…We didn’t even finish building it! Wheels don’t roll well at all and the base that the super thin flimsy mattress goes on is basically like a piece of hard cardboard in which some holes were drilled in the wrong direction so we couldn’t even finish building it unless we put in new holes. The whole bassinet was just a nightmare, it was not sturdy and after seeing the base the baby lays on….i said NOPE. Listen to the reviews and skip on this bassinet please!
