Computer Desk Laurel Oak - Sauder

I have needed a new deal for a long time and when I saw this one, I fell in love with it and got it. It fits perfectly in my office space and I get compliments on the beauty of the desk all the time now. It is roomy and sturdy. Just wish the cord hole was a tiny bit bigger, but it works.

The desk is your typical particleboard with laminate. Nothing special. The amount of height space on the keyboard/mouse drawer is sadly lacking. I couldn't use my mouse for this and had to revert to the cheap traditional style. The biggest thing is the poor packaging or lack there of that is used in the box. I have several pieces that are damaged out of the box. The drawers also don't like up with each other. The drawers also don't fit flush with the desk. I also got a defective bracket so quality control is poor. All in all it will do the job as a desk. It's cheap and you can find the same build quality in something priced cheaper.

Love desk. Assembly is a bit of a chore (2 ppl took 4.5 hours) but result is worth it. Great size & functionality. It replaces 30 yo Sauder desk, so I expect this one to be long lasting too.

This home office desk is a very solid piece of furniture as well as being attractive and functional. The step-by-step assembly instructions easily guided this 68-year-old grandmother from start to finish.

This desk is replacing another Sauder computer desk I had for 30 years. I'm still sold on the brand. This desk has two features I was really looking for--size and a keyboard tray. At approximately 24" x 60", it equals the desk space I had before. This is plenty of room for two monitors, a lamp, and space to work. An improvement is a longer keyboard tray, one that is long enough for my keyboard and a mouse. This means I have the mouse within easier reach than on the desktop, and I get a lot of working space for papers, devices, etc. I like that it still keeps a file drawer and a desk drawer. How do people have desks without any storage??? The two drawbacks really can't be helped--the weight and the assembly. It took me around 6 hours to assemble, including the many trips up and down the stairs to bring the pieces up in small batches, since carrying a 120 lb. box up the stairs by myself wasn't going to happen. Everything was well labeled, though, and the pieces all fit together without having to force anything. It's a really nice, big desk at a price--saying yes to this was a no-brainer.

I like the assembled product but I have issues with assembly. The instruction booklet is good but many of the actual parts were not identified with the part ID makes for a tough assembly.

Good quality and looks great! I was able to put it together without any trouble at all. Excellent instructions and everything aligned perfectly. Definitely good value for the price.

I am using this new desk in my family room so I can stay closer to my family. The construction is excellent, I love the looks and it has everything I need.

It's a great desk. Might suggest all components going in separate bag & marked accordingly. Not bad putting it together, just takes time. But very happy and it looks nice

well made and looks nice. easy to assemble when you take the time and follow the instructions. I would have given a 5 star except for some small damage which is on the viewing end

For the price this is a decent product. I'm using this for an in-home desk. The assembly of it took some time but it was straightforward and I had very little problems assembling the desk. I will say that the wood veneer is very thin. If you're not extra careful, and I was, the edges peel fairly easily. If you're looking for a real wood product, this is not the desk for you. If you're looking for a desk that isn't going to be a showcase in your home, This is OK.

Like the desk very much, except for a few problems: Impossible to insert FILE GLIDES onto drawer side. Much too tight and seems like "too small" to force onto drawer side, so I find this drawer totally unusable as a file drawer, thus a useless, deep drawer (wasted space). Drawer fronts do not line up, so vertical, cut-out design totally out of alignment and not nice looking. Also had a half-moon, quarter sized piece chipped out of back of one side piece. Luckily it is against wall, so used it despite flaw. Far less than expected of a Sauder product.

I chose this desk based on the measurements and the color because I was planning to install into an RV slide-out room. The measurements were spot on and the color was perfect. I was also surprised by the quality of the wood used. I do believe it will hold together well even with the jostling it must endure moving down the road. It's a great value for the price.

The best assembly instructions I have ever used. I'm almost 70 with 4 children and four grandchildren. I've assembled a lot of products. Very detailed, excellent pictures, includes hints. Only one issue: one of the holes was not completely drilled through. I finished drilling the hole and everything worked fine.

It is quality. Beautiful finish. The drawers and keyboard shelf move very smoothly.
