Pick something else

Like the other reviews say, once you put the back on it is nearly impossible to prevent damage to the unit. I am very handy & I was extremely careful, measured, made sure the screws were aligned perfectly and still got damage in two spots. The damage is not something easily fixed. I used wood glue to put some pieces back but it definitely doesn’t look good. Anyone who buys this I would say use construction glue to put the back on, don’t use the nails. I’d recommend buying something else.

Attractive and Functional Bookshelf

This storage bookshelf is very attractive, as well as functional. The two center storage bins are great. I purchased the Navy finish. It arrived earlier than expected. My husband is very handy and had no issues building it, but it did take several hours. It is expensive for manufactured wood. My only disappointment is that the finish chipped towards the back corner of one of the compartments. This was in an area where it is nailed. I was able to glue the chip in place and it is not noticeable. Overall, I recommend it if it's in the budget.

Very hard assembly and cheap materials for a high price

This item was incredibly hard to assemble for one person. The material is so cheap you can't use anything but a hand screw driver. The assembly should be rated more challenging than it is.

Save your money!

Please heed my warning, save your money. Although this item is attractive, the quality is so poor I dissembled the entire storage unit (which took me 2 1/2 hours to assemble) to return it. It's difficult to put together and when you affix the back of the unit with the provided nails, it chips away at the unit. I've put together a number of things and I've never had this happen. It's just poorly made. Not worth the time or the effort.
