So so good!!
If you’ve ever made birria from scratch, you know how much work it is. I was craving birria but didn’t want to do all of the work so I figured I’d give it a shot, it’s so good and taste pretty much the same of made from scratch! I find that it needs much more time to become tender, and it you get a thicker sauce than the traditional consume you’d get to dip with. But overall, I love this alternative!

Yum!
Delicious! It’s not that spicy. It was so yummy when simmered with stew meat. Ate it over cilantro lime rice like a bowl. Will buy again.

Tastes nothing like actual mexican birria
Does taste nothing like traditional mexican birria. It tastes like a sweet barbecue sauce that they threw some chipotles in. They really need to rethink this recipe. It would really ruin any meat dish. You're trying to enhance. Unfortunately, I made this mistake so you don't have to.

HORRIBLY SPICY
This is HORRIBLE!! Ruined a dish I’ve made for years with mild chipotle chicken thighs rice etc by Rachel Ray. The most spicy pepper laden sauce I’ve ever eaten. Maybe I didn’t read reviews correctly but this is inedible. A 10 for spice on 1-10 scale. If you want your insides pulverized this is for you. I’ll be more cautious next time. Control my own taste with can of mild chipotle pepper next time adding extra plain tomato sauce. These jars are getting smaller and smaller and higher priced.

Great taste!
I'm making a DIY Chiptole bowl and I'm using this as a marinate. The flavor is so good! Yes, it's spicy but that's what makes it perfect! The only drawback to this is uses bioengineed ingredient's but that's unfortunately most foods in America now

THE BEST BIRRIA SAUCE!!
I don't think I've ever left a review of anything for Target but this is THE BEST birria sauce! I throw this in a slow cooking pot with a hunk of beef roast and walk away. It's so flavorful and has a surprising amount of heat. I cook for picky neighbors (who think I'm a professional chef) and they rave about my beef birria. This sauce is IT.

Quick meal
I really loved this, I’m Mexican and make Birria all the time. I don’t do too much spicy. So I did put beef broth with the sauce in the slow cooker.

Way too spicy!
Label says "mild" but there's absolutely no way that's true. This sauce is hotter than anything I've ever bought prepared from a store, like super hot Nashville chicken level. Thai hot! Reading other reviews, guess there's some inconsistency with the spice level but proceed with caution if you are at all sensitive!

Check the dates
I ordered for drive up and received the oldest looking jar with no expiration date, so I requested a replacement by mail. That jar was almost 2 months past its best by date. Not bothering with this product

Spectacular give me 14 of em right now.
I've had Birria from food trucks and Mexican places and this sauce is just as good. I made the whole jar with 1 lb chuck roast. I then shredded the meat with a couple big spoonfuls of sauce and then added to tacos. You gotta dip the tortilla, throw in the pan with some real Mexican white cheese, then the meat, flip over half and smush real good, fry until crispy. Finish with raw onion and cilantro and a big ol bowl of that sauce. It was delicious 10/10.

Easy birria tacos
Some of these reviews didn’t lie. I added this sauce, some beef, chopped onion, garlic, cilantro, bay leaf, salt, cumin and 12oz beef broth to the pressure cooker! What resulted were some very good birria tacos. I’ll keep a jar of this on hand for a quick meal. Beware it’s probably too spicy for littles even after add-ins.

Try it, you may like it
It’s ok. It’s too thick, but for $4 what can one expect? I had to add my own seasonings to it to make it taste decent.
