Adjustable-Height standing desk review/issue
The setup process was actually less challenging then I expected...the directions were clear and the necessary hardware was included...that part was fine (the desktop is very nice and seems to be good quality bamboo). However, One issue...I have the crank handle version and the rise/lower function when cranked from the side of the desk only lifts/lowers the side being cranked. The front cranking option only seems to lower (left and right) but does not raise the desk. So, my solution is to raise on one side a few turns...then use the other side (which i don't think was intended for cranking but does allow the crank to be inserted) and crank that side a few turns...and back and forth until the desk is at desired level (up or down). When i was putting the desk together i really checked that internal mechanism too be sure it raised lowered (of course desk was upside down at that point as i was putting it together) and all seemed to operate smoothly. Taking the desk apart is not a desired option at this point...but I am wondering what advice/assist you can provide. Maybe you could send me a second crank handle so that i have one on each side just to simplify things going forward ? welcome your help...I basically think the desk is as good as advertised, but the up/down cranking function/mechanism is not working as intended. thanks.

Perfect solution for my working
Perfect solution for my working at home office. Heavy duty rugged construction and nice top (faux teak). There was a small damage to the top caused by the carrier and I called customer service. They were excellent. Since this item is sold as a unit, they could not send me just a replacement top, but they offered to replace the entire desk—or, if I preferred to keep the desk with the small damage they would give me a partial credit. The person I spoke to was courteous, understandable, and had the authority to solve the problem then and there. Very impressive.

Strong and Sturdy
I am impressed with the construction of this desk. It went together with no issues and is very sturdy and heavy. The crank works smooth as well. My only issue preventing 5 stars is that I wish the lowest position was about 1-2 inches lower. At it's lowest height the table top requires you to raise an office chair to about it's midpoint to be comfortable. I generally like to sit a bit lower so having a table top that could go lower would have been ideal.

More than you pay for
Great value for what you get. If you think it’s hard to assemble, Please try to learn new things and your life will get easier. Height without modification is made for a height of about 5’9”. Easier and cheeped than making my own.

This desk is perfect for me, a 5Õ4Ó teacher, to sit on a stool or stand to teach. ThereÕs plenty of room on the surface for my laptop, Elmo projector, and the page or book IÕm projecting. It was easy to assemble and is very stable. ItÕs easy to raise and lower with precision for me to sit or stand or for students who are presenting. It was delivered quickly, in very good condition, and with extra parts. I appreciate that the lift crank can be removed and hidden from silly students. :-) I highly recommend it for teachers like me who are constantly on our feet and need to take care of our posture and backs.

Solid construction. I got the teak top--very pretty wood and finish. Went together easily with all the materials and tools supplied. Good instructions plus there;s a video online if you prefer it. Cranks up and down easily and quietly. I got the hand crank b/c reviews mentioned that some motors are noisy and b/c sometimes our power goes out. Doesn't tilt or wobble. It's in our house, not an office, and is a really nice piece of furniture.

For the most part the product is great. Great build quality, looks good, seems durable, and reasonable assemble process. It's insanely heavy, but I guess that's acceptable. The only issue is that, I believe the engineers didn't account for the height of the casters when designing this. The casters alone add about 4 inch to the height of the desk which makes the lowest point of the desk not low enough, specially for people who like to have their desk in low height. I personally had to remove the casters after putting the desk in place, in order to be able to comfortably use it.
