Oatmeal for any meal
This oatmeal is the best. The original flavor is the only one I buy, and this brand is the only one I use. The texture is perfect and the taste is delicious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes oatmeal. If you don’t like oatmeal, maybe you haven’t tried the Quaker brand which makes a big difference.

I have been buying this brand of instant oatmeal for years & i have noticed recently that the quality is not the same, i make the same way every time & now it will not get thick, i need to cook it longer or put less milk in it. so why are you putting less oatmeal in the packet? Well i will not be buying this anymore, i found another product that i am happy with.

I switched from Good & Gather plain instant oatmeal since my store stopped carrying it. The Quaker instant oatmeal has a weird soap taste. I tried two packets, and both had a soap taste. I threw away the rest.

I always avoided instant oatmeal. Big Mistake! I was in a rush and saw this in my pantry. Such a pleasant surprise. It is easy, quick, and the taste was very good. My love for Quaker has been renewed. Thanks

Letting Go
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to love this oat meal so much, it was a part of my daily healthy breakfast. But now, the packets seem to have shrunk and the prices went up, and honestly the quality got bad. I hate to let go of my childhood food, but it's not worth spending the little money I have. The oats are weird
this oatmeal is weird. It’s supposed to be instant oatmeal, but doesn’t cook like instant oatmeal. The texture of the oats remains rough even after cooking for a long time. whatever this is doesn’t seem to absorb water well. I had to throw oat the rest after trying 2 packets.

Some have more than 28 grams and some have fewer. Shouldn't have to weigh them to make sure. Should be able to trust nutrition info. Otherwise, tastes OK.

Normally I would not bother with a review. One packet would generally be enough. Nope not anymore! Now I use 2 packets. Do you think we don't notice?? I am now turning to another alternative breakfast.

Does Quaker even have a quality control department
It's shrinkflation, but instead of lesser quantity, it is a lesser quality. I realize that this process is all automated, but dial it back in. Things that once wouldn't pass, ie. Burnt bits, non-edible portions of the processed oats, are now perfect for filling the required weight per paper pouch. Very disappointing, once beloved, staple of winter. What passes for food these days is shameful.
