A: There is not a secret compartment. Underneath the bottom of the treasure chest is a compartment with weight that allows the chest to sink and dive after in the water.

Such a fun set and the perfect pool toy for all ages! We liked this dive toy so much better than others because there are so many pieces to play with whether you have two kids or a whole group of them. I liked that the coins all have amounts on them so you can make a game out of who gets the most total coins or the most points. We make the gold pieces worth more when we play! And because the jewels pieces are included the younger kids have a much easier time picking those from the shallow end. We scatter all the treasure throughout the whole pool and play that way. Thankfully the mesh bag is included and so far no pieces have been lost. A must-buy if you visit the pool often 💙

I bought this for my niece and nephew last summer and they absolutely love it. They have played with it so much, in and out of the pool. It’s great for the pool, but also super fun on dry land. It is well made, the mesh bag is very handy and it floats. The chest also floats and it drains water. Those features are great. I did end up getting them some additional gems to add to it, which they also love. I may get another one this year depending on how much of the one from last year they have left.

My 5-year old just started diving and absolutely loves the idea of this toy. He loves treasure chests and any other container to hide stuff in, so he hasn't stopped playing with this treasure chest set! Only wish the pieces were slightly bigger as it's difficult to find all the pieces when cleaning up and worried about them getting sucked into the vacuum!

I ordered this Kids Treasure Hunt Dive Set for my 6 year old niece and 9 year old nephew to play with in a hotel pool. This set occupied them for hours! They took turns diving for treasure and placing the items back inside the treasure chest. I like that they were able to interact with one another using this set and my niece was improving her swimming skills with each round. The set includes plastic coins and jewels, a mesh bag, and the treasure chest. I would recommend this for children 10 and under.

I got this for my 2 and 6 year old for our Florida trip. They are too young to use it for diving but they loved just messing around with the different items in the pool. Only downside was our chest was very hard to snap close but that may not be a universal problem.
