You can use this device on those stubborn areas so long as you're using the device as directed.     Wonderful

    I wish I could buy this device earlier…. I have light (beige) color skin and dark hair, so it is the perfect combo for IPL. After only 2 uses, I noticed that the hair stopped to grow back as fast as before. Today I am after my 5th treatment and I barely need to shave! I am very very happy!

    Stopped Working After One Year

    It was working very well, but after a year it stopped working. The light is not flashing anymore, and the machine smells like it’s burned. I thought I could use it for at least two years. The website suggested holding down the button to fix the issue for people with the same problem, but nothing I tried worked.

    Game changer

    This has worked so well for me!! I def have to use it once a month for certain areas but it’s so quick and easy I really don’t mind. Way better than shaving or waxing.

    Defective product

    This is a garbage product. I used it two times and it stopped working. I reached out to Braun and requested a replacement. I patiently waited for the replacement and it finally arrived. And guess what? Dead!!!!! The replacement was dead on arrival couldn't get it to work once. Totally unacceptable for such an expensive product.

    Amazing, it really works

    I was skeptical that this would work, even though I have dark brown hair and light skin. I've been using it for about 9 weeks and my legs and pits are completely hairless; pubic area is partly gone mostly because I was a little nervous to use it on the highest setting (after 3 weeks I was using it everywhere down there on the high setting without a problem!)

    Excellent product, would buy again

    I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I call this IPL life-changing. While I’m advantaged by having the ideal skin/hair color combination, I had a near immediate reduction in hair growth, saving me hours of time every week. This was a replacement for a much older IPL from a different manufacturer. I figured that the technology must have improved. It has, and I have no regrets about this purchase.

    Precision head not precise enough for small areas

    I wanted to use this product for hair on my fingers and toes, but even the precision head is too large for these small areas, so I can’t get it to activate. So disappointing!

    Impressive Hair Reduction After 12 Weeks

    I’m a male with light skin and brown, moderate-density hair. I started using the Braun IPL PL5157 about 3 months ago, treating once per week as directed. After 14 treatments, I’ve seen great results, especially under my arms where there’s now just a small 2.5 x 2.5 cm (1 x 1 in) patch of finer, softer hair. I’d love that to be 100% reduction but I’m very happy with it so far. I’ve also been using it in other areas with coarser, more persistent hair, and while the reduction hasn’t been as extreme, I’ve still seen noticeable improvement: slower regrowth, softer texture, and shorter hairs. I’m still seeing results improve so I’m continuing weekly. I’d recommend patience as it’s not instant, but if you’re consistent and follow the routine, it works. I’m surprised at how much smoother and more manageable the hair is. I was considering professional underarm laser hair reduction but decided to test run the Braun device, and I’m happy I did. For the lower initial price you trade a slightly higher time commitment but it seems to have been worth it. A couple of notes: The treatment isn’t usually painful, just a warm flash/snap, and you get used to it. I only ever use the highest setting and once in a while I get a painful flash. If it happens it fades quickly. You’ll need to shave before use, which I hate, but as you progress it’s far less often as the hair reduction kicks in. After 12 sessions, shaving once a week is quick and there’s very little irritation due to having less hair. I’ve had no side effects on the highest setting. No burns, discoloration, or irritation. I use 99% aloe gel right after IPL which helps. I get far more irritation and skin issues from shaving than IPL. I recommend this for guys looking to manage or reduce body hair without going for waxing or professional laser. It’s worth the investment if you want something effective and private you can use at home.

    Love this at home IPL treatment machine from Braun. I bought this about 2 months ago and it’s been a game changer. I can do these treatments in the comfort of my own home and not spend the $$$ for salons. I love the carrying case too so I can take it with me during my summer travels

I have very sensitive skin and high contrast (light skin with dark hair), and it's working perfectly for me. I started seeing results really fast, after just a few sessions. It doesn’t hurt and feels super gentle on my skin. I also love that it comes with different caps so I can adjust and a cute vanity case, which makes it easy to use and makes it organized.
