[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The strap at the top of the boots are too short they need to be about 2 inches longer I could not closed the strap I had to tuck the straps in the top of the boots which were very uncomfortable

I was so excited to find red boots that fit! But they aren't true to color like pictures.. the straps and leather parts are a brownish color instead of the red I thought they were going to be.. super disappointed 😞

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots are very stretchy, however, the strap and buckle at the top are NOT and it restricts the width. It is set at the widest part of the calf, and it digs in painfully even at the last setting for me. I ended up boring another hole in the strap with an awl as far down as I could go and still buckle it. There is no way I can wear these with jeans unless I cut the top strap off entirely, and they are still super tight in that area after modification. These would fit almost every customer if they would just lengthen the strap by an inch or two and/or add more stretch to the strap. I got them in a size 10 (my regular size) in wide width and extra wide calf, and I have 19 inch calves. I bought 2 pairs in brown and black - since I modified one pair I won't be able to return them but the others are going back. Disappointing as these boots are very cute and comfortable otherwise, and they are marketed as extra wide calf - but if you have a very wide calf, skip these or try going a size up. I did also buy the Abie and the Kindy over-the-knee boots in extra wide width and those fit, so there are other options available from Journee for those of us with truly extra wide calves.
