Q: how long will it keep hot beverages like coffee cold?

A: Hi Lisa, I don't understand your question. If you put hot coffee into it, it's going to eventually get cold. If you want your hot coffee to get cold, I would suggest you put it in the refrigerator. If you need your hot coffee not to get cold, I would suggest to serve and reheat, the pitcher is not insulated.

Extremely fragile
I gave 2 stars because the carafe is good looking and has a nice lid that strains and pours, however the moment I unwrapped it, I wondered how soon it would shatter. I don't recall the online product description indicating the fragility but the glass is extremely thin. Washing instructions state handwash only. Seems too expensive for something that may be gone quickly.

Very pretty
Bought to keep tea in the refrigerator. I haven't really put it's heat tolerance to the test but It's very nice, looks good, and has a nice small footprint for the size.
