Q: I can't find any reference to it being BPA-free, while other similar target branded pitchers are. so is this item BPA-free or not?

I loved the size of this because it fit in a smaller space in the fridge but it broke from putting a butter knife in it while clean up my kitchen. I use a lot of glassware and this is the first time I’ve had something so delicate. I wish I could find a mason jar made like this. Buy at your own risk.

I bought this for the size but I regret it. It's super thin and delicate feeling. The lid doesn't actually seal. And it is very difficult to properly clean. I threw out the lid and just use the pitcher with cling wrap over the top. It's ugly but working until I can find a suitable replacement.

It's not a bad pitcher, but the lid is too short to make a seal. Even when the lid is all the way down, there's a small gap at the spout. If you tilt it, the liquid will leak out. If you keep your lemonade in the refrigerator, it will absorb odors. It's really a shame the designers couldn't add a couple of millimeters of lid material to make this a perfect pitcher.

It looked great but handle felt a little flimsy and is blown out of the same piece of glass. Seemed to work great for probably six months. When I picked it up after filling today, the handle broke off and went deep into my pinky. Unless you eventually want a gash in your hand, I'd avoid. I don't usually bother writing reviews, but this is a safety issue. Definitely don't want this to happen to a kid and they should absolutely recall this item.

I went to 3 different Target stores to find this pitcher. I absolutely love it! I wanted a glass pitcher with a lid to make sun tea. I've started to phase out all plastic storage in my house and this was the next item on the list. I absolutely love iced tea in the summer but I don't want to set it in the sun if it's in plastic. I don't care if it's BPA free, glass keeps the true taste so my ice tea lasts without tasting odd. No staining with glass either.
Broken and Damaged in Store

I had ordered two of these, the first had obvious damage, as the spout was completely broken upon pick up and the person packing the order hadn't noticed. He apologized, so no problem with him. However, when I double checked the second pitcher I found a defect at the connection at the top of the handle...I can see this easily coming apart at the handle when full causing the pitcher to drop to the ground and shatter. These don't seem to be safe/good quality at all. Also, the description in the app says these can handle hot and cold beverages, but the label in the actual product doesn't mention anything about being able to handle hot beverages or about being made out of the borosilicate glass, and considering both were damaged upon pickup I am afraid of what would have happened had I tried to pour a hot beverage into one. And as a secondary issue, there isn't a seal around the top of the lid, so considering how tight the lid is, when you put it on it would be difficult to keep it from hitting the top of the glass pitcher regularly... and again considering they were both damaged upon pick up, I can see this causing damage in a short period. Really the only good thing halfway good about these pitchers was the lid, which had a tight fit, as I mentioned, and seemed to be heavy duty, considering I didn't actually use them...so that may or may not actually be the case in use. I returned one immediately upon pickup and will be going back to return the other, as I didn't have time to go back into the store a third time to return the second one today.

Way smaller than pictured. It's smaller than my 64oz pitcher! But I will keep it. The 64oz is the one with the white cap. You can see the difference. If you need something smaller, this is good.

Nice size, but the lid is impossible to rotate to get to the pour or strainer openings. The sticker on top of the lid is also awful to get off which doesn't effect function, but is definitely annoying.

The pitcher looks great but I am returning becuse of design issues. * Biggest problem is the spout—it always drips after pouring. To prevent this it needs a down-pointing lip like most other pitchers. * I used it for pouring tea, but the tea sloshes out of it and makes a mess. * A label on the lid was difficult to remove and even after I did the adhesive left an irregular rectanglar patch on the steel lid
