Okay, this is not the same can opener you grew up with...it is better. That said, it takes some getting used to. Watch a video on how to use it and you'll fall in love. Using it results in a clean, sharp-edge free, separation between the can and lid. It also has a feature that allows for easier lid pulling from pull of tabs on cans. And more. We took a while to adapt to this modernized concept of can lid removal, but now we couldn't live without it!

This can opener is so awesome! I've owned it for like 7 years and everyone who comes to my house and uses it instantly notices the difference. Plus the lids that are opened are safe to handle! Love it! But recently broke and I was hoping to get it salvaged and not buy a new one cuz the color I have is dark blue with white polka dots. I'm sad it broke, but I really don't wanna buy the plain red, white or black one :(

I bought this item about 10 years back, & it is still brilliantly operating. Never had any issues, & it's so versatile, it's like the Victorinox of Swiss Army Knives. Portable enough for outside activities, but be cautious about it disappearing by jealous individual(s). I believe price paid then was close to this current cost one way or the other. Thus far, it's the last can opener ever bought, & that may be a permanent fact.

Had this for a couple years. Worked well and then stopped working (broke). Since it is one of the higher priced openers (lifters) I would expect it to work much longer.

I love this can opener. After years of using the kind that cut through the metal, it is a little difficult to figure out. But it opens the seal on the can so there are no sharp edges. Awesome tool! All my family are getting them for Christmas!

"can opener" is nearly impossible to remove from the can once it has gone all the way around. Turning it back the opposite way like the so-called instructions say to do doesn't work. This "can opener" is useless for actually opening cans and I wish I hadn't bought it.

Expensive but worth every penny. It has saved my wrists from additional strain as well as arthritic fingers. Everyone should have this opener

The first one I received as a gift some time ago. My girlfriend at the time also loved it. Over time she has still been a good friend. When she left she wanted to take it and of course the answer was no. As a thank you for her friendship I ordered this one for her.
