That’s certainly not the experience we want you to have. Tunneling, where a candle burns down the center and leaves excess wax around the sides, can happen if the wax pool doesn’t fully reach the edges during the first few burns. We recommend allowing the candle to burn long enough (generally 3–4 hours) so that the entire top layer of wax becomes fully melted. This helps prevent uneven burning and ensures the best fragrance experience. That said, if the flame is being extinguished by pooling wax, there could be a wick issue or another defect, and we’d really like to make it right.
