don't recommend if this is the correct item

I'm not sure if I received the wrong cover or what, but it has a strong smell coming out of the packaging that has lasted 4 days so far. the pattern has red stripes in it, and thick white stripes. it's also not soft at all (I ordered heavyweight flannel which is usually very dense and soft to the touch), more like canvas with a design stamped on it. I paid almost $75 for this (irritated it's on sale now - of course it is)
