Cora Organic Cotton Tampons Multipack Regular/Super/Super+ Absorbency - 45ct

The applicator does not work?? Waste of money.

Wanted to give the new applicator design a fair shot because the old one was already frustrating to use. The original applicator had almost no difference in width between the plunger and applicator, making it awkward to grip and difficult to press in comfortably. I was excited to see the redesigned applicator and bought another box instead of switching brands entirely. Unfortunately, the new design has its own issues. When pulling the plunger out until it “clicks,” it either collapses back into itself or the telescoping plunger detaches from the applicator completely. I wasted 3 tampons in one day just trying to use them normally. Feminine products are too expensive for this level of product failure, especially during basic application. I really wanted this redesign to work, but the functionality still needs improvement.

I used to really like these tampons, but the company has changed the packaging, sizes, and applicator and now they’re horrible. Sad to see another company cheap out and cut corners and change their great product to something much worse.

If I could leave at zero stars, I would. I think I’ve only written a total of three reviews in my life because I only write reviews on things that are worth it, but these applicators break and you cannot use the tampon and then especially if you are in a public place you’re end up having to use your freaking finger to push the tampon in. 0 out of 10, would not recommend. DO NOT waste your money. They may be cheaper than the L. Organic tampons. Not worth it!!!

The applicator is a nightmare. If you’re shopping around for an alternative to Tampax Pearl, DO NOT BUY THIS. I’ve been successfully inserting tampons for multiple decades and I think I wasted half the box.

They are slim and easily fit in your purse. I love natural products so you aren’t exposed to chemicals like alternatives.

You have to be careful opening the applicator because I did pull the plunger out by accident one time. I am so happy to have a better choice tampons now. They absorb just as well as the other brand I use. I am very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I love most about Cora is their transparency in using only organic cotton and their refusal to use additives- wildly unnecessary things in tampons anyway. Beyond that, they’re just comfortable and secure when inserted, and I never experienced any leaking.

Applicator does not work. I pull it out, it “clicks” into place, but when I put it in, it doesn’t insert when pushed. Wasted literally 4 tampons in a row before giving up and getting a spare from another non-organic brand. These have unfortunately become the worst

The new plunger clicks into place, which makes inserting it so much easier. I haven’t had an issue with leaking at all even on my heavy days. I appreciate that the tampons are 100% cotton, this is the only brand I’ll use.

They come in 4 absorbency levels: light, regular, super, and super plus. The box I received contained regular and super. I like how the wrappers are entirely different colours based on the absorbency level (not just the word "regular" on the wrapper, or a hard-to-find "R" or "S" somewhere on the wrapper); lightest teal to darkest teal. This makes it very easy to see at a glance which one you're grabbing, which I really appreciate!! I think the tampons themselves are comparable to other widely available national brands. The applicator is milky white/clear BPA-free plastic with a rounded tip. These are compact tampons, so you have to pull out the end of the applicator and "click" it into place before inserting. The tampon expands in a side-to-side way when in use; this shape doesn't work for everyone; some women prefer tampons that expand in a radial manner. Cora tampons are organic and made without fragrance, chlorine, pesticides, rayon, or dioxins. The tampons themselves are made of cotton, BPA-free plastic (applicator), and paraffin water-repellant wax (string). Cora tampons are cruelty-free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like the compact size of the tampon. Very sleek and can fit in a small wristlet or bag. I love that the ingredients are short and no chemicals added. My only complaint is that the plastic stick would have a larger stopper when pulling it because if you don't listen for that small snap you can't push in. But other than that it was comfortable. Easy to take out and didn't fall apart.
