  • A: I used it in our litter robot. It was really terrible for it. This litter I do not recommend for the robots with the rubber lining because it adheres firmly to the bottom. I had to scrape it off like it was concrete. I bet this would be good clumping litter for a standard box but definitely not for Litter Robot 3.

    I’ve been really impressed with Arm & Hammer Hardball Clumping Cat Litter. One of the biggest things I noticed right away was how well it controls odor — even in a multi-day stretch, the litter box stays much fresher than with other brands I’ve tried. The clumping quality is excellent. The litter forms hard, solid clumps that don’t fall apart when scooping, which makes cleanup faster and less messy. It also seems to last longer because you’re not wasting clean litter during scooping. Another plus is the dust level. It’s lower than many clay litters, so there’s less mess around the box and it feels cleaner overall. The price is a little higher than basic litters, but the performance and longevity make it worth it in my opinion. Overall, this has become one of my favorite cat litters because it combines strong odor control, durable clumping, and good value for the quality.

    Low tracking - Lightweight - Love Hardball

    Started using this about a month ago. Love the lightweight. Stopped using other light weight brands because they track around the house they are so light. But this AH Hard Ball is more like sand and doesn't track. Wishlist: unscented and larger size packages. Eco friendly perhaps? Like a bucket with available large bags for refill?

    I really wanted to like this litter. It is superior for cat urine clumping and keeping the litter box itself clean. But it stinks .....my whole laundry room smells like cat litter box. I've had to go back to Tidy Cat. If the smell issue ever gets resolved I will definitely go back.

    Attracts Dogs

    Dogs are eating it. Never been this way with traditional cat litter. Throwing away and going back to my old litter. Hope this doesn’t hurt my dogs stomachs. They won’t stay out of it.

    Go back to basics, please!

    I have been using this for 3 years. Noticed recently it doesn’t work as well as it did. Sometimes I get it and the color is light, it controls odor, clumps well and scoops easily. Other times it is dark, doesn’t control odor, doesn’t clump or scoop well. Time to switch??..

    We really wanted to love this. The lightweight part is the only positive. We didn’t mind the clumping - it’s not amazing but not horrible. But it tracks everywhere, and in mini clumps. It sticks to our cat’s’ paws worse than any litter we’ve tried. And the smell is rough.

    I have 2 cats that use the same box . I bought Arm & Hammer hardball for the first time 2 weeks ago. I believe in the Arm & Hammer brand and have used virtually every other A&H cat litter . In choosing the HardballI I was hoping for litter that did not ‘track’ out of the litter box. Lo and behold, after four days of watching for the inevitable litter on floors or furniture I found none. It scoops easy, it uses only the litter that is necessary to absorb the urine or cover the stools, and there is very little, if any, odour. As for affordability, I would have to say that, even though it does cost more, I do believe I’m not using as much. A&H Slide tended to be mushy and did not solidify completely. It also adhered to the scooper thus using up litter unnecessarily. Hardball I found sticks to nothing and I must say I am impressed with the product.

    Should be Zero Stars

    This is the worst cat litter I have encountered in 20+ years of having cats. It doesn't clump, it glues the waste to the bottom of the litter box. Also it doesn't cover the smell. With 2 cats we hardly notice a smell with other litters..With this brand we knew every time the cat moved their bowels.

    Great performance, horrible fragrance

    I needed a light-weight, low dust formula, and this came highly recommended by a friend. My cats like it, and it would totally be a winner and perfect product if not for the fragrance. It is just too strong. The fragrance has negatively impacted my breathing. If it came in unscented, I would buy this again. Unfortunately, I just can’t tolerate it.

    Very strong scent

    I just started using this. It clumps really good but the scent is so strong its smelling up my whole single wide trailer. I think the scent stinks. Maybe if it wasnt so strong it would be better.

    Terrible Litter

    This litter is so heavily perfumed I had to dump it out after only a couple of days. It’s so incredibly strong. It’s also so fine that it tracks everywhere and makes a huge mess. Do not recommend this at all, complete waste of money!
