This was a great build for me. It took three days for me. As a Senior it helps keep my mine sharp. The tiny pieces are great for working my fingers. Enjoy lego builds.

My wife and I are experienced builders, with a large variety of age 18+ sets. For us, this turned out to be an outstanding build, exceeding our expectations. The assembly was particularly satisfying and the intricate details of the model fascinating. The designer has done an excellent job translating the real cathedral into Lego. As far as cons, as noted in other reviews, much of the construction is necessarily repetitive (as you'd expect). But for us, the satisfaction far outweighed this unavoidable con. Despite the complexity and intricacy of this model, the instructions were clear and assembly was straight forward. One caution: avoid dropping pieces into the partially assembled building. Dropped pieces have a tendency to wedge themselves into the detailed interior (lots of pillars), forcing you to partly disassemble the building to retrieve (or even find) the dropped piece.
Dream Display Piece

Absolutely stunning display piece. Building process can get a bit tedious at points with the sheer number of windows and a few other things but not too bad. Can be a bit of a finger destroyer with all the small pieces that need to be put together. Build process is incredibly rewarding with each stage being quite beautiful in it's own right despite being incomplete. Well worth the money.

The Notre Dame Lego set comes out as a beautiful set however I came to find that it did not look that much like the real thing, sure it's a Lego set and the Notre Dame is a very intricate building but it is also the overall build did not completely look like it, I also found this build to be very repetitive which is expected with an architectural piece like this, the whole build is very fragile in every state and unfortunately this caused my set to break during the building process and the process of putting it back together was extremely tedious as it was harder than usual to tell where pieces came from. Overall I do think this is a good display item for my collection and it is a beautiful final product that also had an interesting build due to the build being in order of how the cathedral was actually built as well as the interesting facts scattered throughout the instruction booklet as well as the blocks representing materials actually used in building the Notre Dame. I would recommend this set to someone who is looking for this as a display piece only as well as someone who is ok with it being fragile and repetitive. Overall I do like the final product there is just a few things I noticed.

Excellent Job Lego for having intricate set like this. Definitely nice piece to display. I had a bit of hard time on one side where it bends other than that it’s easy to follow as long as you don’t drop a piece inside it. I have learnt to use chopsticks to pick up fallen piece but overall the experience is such exhilarating… and the click of the bricks as you build is very satisfying.

I’m thoroughly enjoying this build. You have to be so careful that you don’t drop a piece inside once you start to build the top or it takes ages to get it back out.
Very repetitive

Was looking for a large set as have done most of the modular buildings available. Way too much repetition and thought they’d be some interior detail of a cathedral but just endless columns and only the exterior mimics the real thing. Also a lot smaller that one would think. One section was almost impossible to get level so the roof doesn’t fit well. Plus windows pop out very easily.
Excellent!

This will always be one of my favorite builds! The history, the connection and the similarity to Notre dame has genuinely made me happy. Not to mention, the amount of pieces included in the set for the price is a steal! Absolutely loved building this.
Very beautiful!

Interesting to build! I loved following the history of the actual building of the cathedral while completing each step. The inside arches and tiled floor are beautiful. I have always loved the building itself and I love admiring this charming and detailed model. The Lego engineers are amazing! Next I will go to Paris and sit and review how all the elements of the building were translated.

I've been a fan of Notre Dame since I saw the hunchback of Notre Dame and when I saw this, I just had to get it. The history, the design, all of it was perfect and the building experience, while some was a little tough, was worth it in the long run. Great purchase.

It was a fun build, but it was the amount of and the surprising ways all of the little details were snuck into this creation that impressed me most. Every couple of steps, I found myself delightfully repeating, "oh, that's clever." Beautiful set. Would highly recommend!
Love it

I really enjoyed the build and of course the insane detail this set had to offer. Only criticism I would have is having to build the same pieces over and over again. Other than that, great build!
Beautiful but poorly designed.

I was so excited when I started building this only to realize halfway through that multiple pieces just did not fit together. I tried several times to make them fit but all I did was destroy the rest of the build due to the lack of structural integrity. What started out as a fun project has only become more and more frustrating. Overall I am extremely disappointed.

A great final product and a joy to build. Well designed and even though there is a lot of repetition in the build, it was a fun project to spread over a couple of days.
Excellent model with one big caveat

This would of been a five (beautiful model )if instead of receiving 2 corner arch pieces i had to install 2 straight arch pieces in the internal structure. Quality control should be addressed as lego is not cheap. I just can't help that even when you look at the model you couldn't tell but for me it detracts because I know there's a flaw.
