Serious stench

I love this desk but.....it has an awful smell. Not sure where this material was stored, it smells like its been in a damp basement for years. I've tried everything to get rid of the stench, running a fan on low all day/night to help make it less offensive. The color, size and look of the desk is beautiful but OMG it reeks!!!!
