Awesome
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite baby gate ever designed. I keep it in the hallway and it's so easy to install. It can be opened with one hand or even a foot if your hands are full. It closes by itself after you go through it.

Broke less than 7 weeks after we installed. The gate is retractable and it is suppose to lock into place and it can be stretched and no longer locks. Also as you can see from my pictures, the information on the Target website and the instruction manual contradict each other. The website says it can be used at top of stairs and the instruction manual says not to use at top of stairs. I’ll have to take it down to return it. Also going to have big holes in wall due to using drywall anchors to install it. Don’t waste your money!

Looks great, very secure.
After using the product a few days opening the mesh became easier. I wish to change my previous review from 1 star to 4. Product works well after a few days of opening an closing the mesh.

Looks great but cannot pull the gate closed.
Gate looks great but I cannot open it with one hand like the picture of a woman holding a baby can. I need both hands to pull the gate mesh open and another person to hold the lock open. I wish there was an adjustment to make the retraction spring not so strong. As long as you have 2 people to close the gate it is fine. Cannot be done by 1 person alone.

Agree with other review. Takes two hands to open and close which is crazy because it’s a baby gate! How can you open/close while holding a baby. The tension is ridiculous too. It makes sense it needs to be but the whole design is terrible. Returning

PSA: Need two hands to close
We just installed this instead of our tension baby gate for our toddler (and now newborn), and I truly don’t get this gate. You need two free hands to close it, which is insane, not to mention that the tension is so strong, I have to put my whole body into getting it closed. Like most parents, I’m normally going up and down the stairs carrying something (typically at least one of my children, not to mention laundry, etc.) so the thought to design this as a two-handed close is wild to me.

The only issue with the gate is you cannot open/close it with one hand. It takes 2 hands to open or close the gate. We are using it for our destructive puppy.

Puppies can't squeeze through

Good quality
Bought two of these for the house. I like them but wish you could adjust the tension on them. My wife has arthritis in her hands and is hard to use them. We use these to keep our puppies from roaming the house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We haven’t used this a ton yet so I can’t speak to longevity, but I love the design. We have a larger opening between our living room and kitchen and had a tension based gate with my first little; the frame was a constant trip hazard and the tension pieces tore up the drywall. This gate is not only frameless on top and bottom, but screws into the wall which I absolutely love. AND it fits our wider doorway!! The only thing I don’t like is that you have to hold down the lock to unlock. I understand it is a safety feature, which I’m sure I will appreciate when the little is walking, but I wish there was a way to set it in “unlock”.

Great outdoor gate!!

It is easy to install and clean and I love that it has an auto locking feature when closed so it doesn’t keep stretching out if our baby pushes on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want a gate that when not needed is away and out of site this is the gate you need. Super great for stairs so you can unhook and it will roll away. My little one has not figured out how to unhook it. It also has guards so you don’t have to worry about little hands getting pinched.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an innovative idea for a gate! I think it would be most useful to keep at a kitchen doorway, where you need to get in and out but SOMETIMES just need to block pets and little ones out. I actually intended to put this on our front door, so that when I opened it, the gate would expand and block anyone from running out- but our door is steel so I couldn't test my theory of how great that would be. I am, instead, currently using it in the door to my craft room so I can still keep an eye on the kids in the next room, but stop them from entering when I am working. very convenient!

Works nice

It was super easy to install and only took me around 10 minutes to do with a few toddlers running around stopping my task for a few . I like that i can put this up quickly and be able to block of a area in my house where im not wanting the little ones to be at the time . I mainly use it for my kitchen . When ever i go to cook I'd rather not have children under my feet while preparing food . This keeps them safe and out of my way . It slides open with ease .
