Review Quotes
"Kids will love immersing themselves in this quiet story that's also a coloring book. The tale is simple but fun, about Capy--a capybara that visits from another planet. Capy becomes overwhelmed by the Earthlings' hurry and hubbub, and he's homesick for his own planet. But instead of heading home, he finds comfort in mindfulness and meditation. The busy Earthlings take notice. They join Capy in the practice of Zen, and Earth becomes a more chill place! Most pages give tips for mindfulness, like how to relax, how to be patient and kind, and how to share. Kids are encouraged to try their own practice of Zen, such as the suggestion to give big, cozy hugs or wear an invisible crown of confidence. The book's characters are drawn simply, inviting creativity in coloring. But they have plenty of personality that adds to the storytelling. The book also includes some bonus information about the natural history of Earth's real-life capybaras. This is a fun book that kids and their grownups will enjoy reading and coloring."--Carol Doeringer, author of If You Wake a Skunk
"What an utterly delightful book, and more than merely a joy to read because you get to color the pages, too! Chill and curious Cappy is the perfect guide for this journey. (He's also adorable!)
