This blanket is super soft. It's heavy and durable. I got the smaller of the two sizes, and as you can see, it doesn't cover my whole couch. That's fine, the spot that it doesn't cover, is where I sit. It covers the part where the dogs lay, which is what matters most. But if you purchased the bigger size, I imagine it would cover the whole couch. I've tried several different covers to use on my couch. You can see the brown one underneath the blanket. It's supposed to be waterproof. It's definitely not. But this blanket is. 100%. If the dogs have an accident or puke, I don't have to worry about the mess soaking through into the fabric of my couch. As you can see from the video, the liquid just sort of... pools up. Which would make it very easy to clean up, if you're quick enough. I can't praise this blanket enough. It's a high quality blanket and it does it exactly what it says it will do. You could easily use this blanket for yourself. It's that nice. And it would also be perfect if you have messy kids. It's an amazing blanket and well worth the price.
