Urine soaked wood small side

Things I love, but absolutely hate that the smaller side is completely wooden bottom. Of course, the hamster uses that side as a toilet. After a few months, it is time to buy a new cage. The wood is soaked with urine. The other side has a smooth easy clean up bottom. Would be great if both sides had easy clean up bottom.
