Beautiful Grass in a Week
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this seed in my back yard. Last summer burnt my grass up pretty bad. I filled in all areas with top soil and spread the seed, following directions on bag. I then threw a light layer of top soil and peat moss down. Watered 3 times a day. The grass came in quick with beautiful dark green color.

I would buy the grass seed again

Great product for shady patches
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are several bare spots in our yard, and every year we tackle as much as we can in the fall, but some spots are harder to grow grass than others. This product was applied April 27th to this area under a large bush in our yard. This is our two dogs favorite "spot" so it takes a beating from them doing their business. As you can see in just a little over 3 weeks, and some much needed rain, much of this area has been filled in. We try a variety of products each year, and this ranks with the better ones we have used.

It works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a lot of dirt patches in our yard. Mostly after filling in the holes our dogs dug and also the lack of sunlight in areas of our back yard. We put some of this seed down and now we have nice, think grass. You can even seen the "bald" spots anymore!

I treated several patches throughout the yet with seed and still today it looks beauty still. I definitely plan to use this in the future m!

Amazing results-patching and over-seeding after winter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in NorthCentral PA, in the mountains, and received the PA State Mixture from Pennington at no charge and asked to do a review. Every spring I have to over-seed and patch my lawn from piles of snow that were plowed into my front yard; this is life where I live. Every other year, it has taken until July to get my front lawn back-but not this year. This was the perfect mix; I live on 10.08 mostly wooded acres and get a true mix of sun and shade during the day. We have had an unusually rainy and stormy spring, with heavy downpours. The temperatures have been swinging 20-25 degrees. I have lots of birds who normally eat the grass seed. As you can see in the picture, even with all of these factors (which would normally hinder my efforts) there are some beautiful, darker green patches in my lawn. This was almost easy to get results. I have to mow every week because these patches where the seed was concentrated are thick and lush and out grow my existing lawn. I'm absolutely putting down more of this seed, particularly in my front yard, because my yard has not looked like this in the 8 years since my house was built.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were really surprised at how quickly the grass had broken through the surface and how great the color of the grasp looks. It looks very healthy. There were a few bare spots, but I think that just comes with the nature of the birds pecking at the seeds, but it really filled in well.

Great Results, Even in Cold Weather!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first-time homeowner, I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to growing a nice lawn. I picked up Pennington Grass Seed after doing a bit of research and decided to put it down on Good Friday. Even though the weather stayed pretty cold for a while after, I started seeing results faster than I expected. Now, just a few weeks later, my grass is noticeably thicker, greener, and healthier-looking than it was before. I'm honestly impressed with how well it worked, especially given the chilly temps. It made the whole process super easy, and I'm feeling way more confident about keeping my yard looking great. Highly recommend it, especially if you're new to lawn care like me! I was skeptical but it worked so well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't entirely sure they could make a grass seed cater specifically to the weather of my area in Pennsylvania but I am happy to report I was proven wrong. I laid the seed, watered it, covered in a light layer of hay, then with a week of heavy rain my yard completely lost all its muddy and barren patches. Now it's green and vibrant almost needing to be mowed twice a week. I'm actually happy to go out and buy more of this any time it seems like my grass is thinning or gets damaged from items I might use in my yard. Can't suggest it enough.

Great seeds
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Pennington Smart Seed Pennsylvania State Sun or Shade Grass Seed and Fertilizer for free in exchange for my honest review. Overall I thought this grass seed mix performed well. I really liked that it had fertilizer right in the mix which is especially helpful when you're trying to get grass to grow in patchy areas where it's tough to get it to grow. I felt like this is a minimal effort good yield product. I followed the directions, but I didn't put that much work into it, and a little over a week later the little seeds were sprouted. I'm looking forward to seeing how the little grass plants continue to grow and thicken in the area that seemed stubbornly bare.
