A: Preorder only guarantees you get a copy not that you’ll have it by the release date.

A: Nope! My Iron Flame copy was delivered several days after it dropped, despite the fact I preordered the day it was announced. And, just like that order, despite the fact that I preordered Onyx Storm the very morning it was announced, it’s not expected until January 26th.

A: Mine is being delivered from Amazon 1/22! I wasn’t able to get the deluxe edition that early, but I’d rather get the book one day after release than wait for prettier pages. I don’t understand why pre-orders could not have been picked up!

A: Girl.. I think we won’t make the cut. Pre-Ordered in august and it says it’ll arrive the 26th!

A: Is anyone else’s still stuck in pre-shipment? It was supposed to be here in Florida tomorrow and it’s still at the UPS facility in Indiana and hasn’t shipped at all 🤦🏻‍♀️

A: No. Target never delivers preorders on release days

A: Unfortunately, no. I preordered in July and it still hasn’t shipped and it is release day (January 21st). It says expected delivery a week later on January 27th. Very frustrating. This is not the first pre-order I have received much later than the release date from target. Next time try Barnes and Noble or Amazon for on time delivery of pre orders.

A: Apparently not 😫, mine is estimating to be delivered the 27th.

A: Just bought mine and it will be here on the 22nd!!! Gotta love being PATIENT!

A: Mine says January 27th and I ordered it in may. What’s the point of preordering if we will be the last to get our books

A: no, this is because target ships out the item the day of the release to prevent people from receiving the book before it is actually released to the public

A: I ordered mine July 2024 and it says it won’t be delivered until 1/27 😑 what a failure on Target’s part.

A: Apparently not guaranteed. I ordered back in August and mine says "preparing to ship" with estimated delivery JANUARY 28TH! Not okay.

A: Same. I ordered in June and my delivery says January 26th. I’m beyond irritated- i wish I would have known prior that Target is not a place you should make your pre-orders from.

A: Mine says it won’t be delivered until the 27th. So disappointed.

A: I pre ordered mine and it won’t be here until the 27th.

A: This one is the standard deluxe with the sprayed edges (think 1st print of Fourth Wing and Iron Flame). The Target one has different sprayed edges; the title color is different, and it has a bookmark ribbon, colored endpapers, and character work throughout the book.

A: The target exclusive’s sprayed edges have a slightly different design stenciled on. The target exclusive also has a color map (this one is in black and white) and I think it also has some other artwork in the book.

A: Target exclusive has exclusive sprayed edges and extra art.

A: This one only has sprayed edges and exclusive special design features, while the target exclusive has different sprayed edges, a black bookmark ribbon, colorful endpaper, and color artwork throughout the book!

A: The story is the same. No bonus chapters in either one. This version has the 5 dragons on the edge and that’s all that’s special about it. The target exclusive has the one dragon on the edge, ribbon bookmark, colored map, and 5 pages of artwork throughout the book.

A: Rebecca Yarros said not to worry that the sticker comes off.

A: if it has one, possibly the price sticker like the 20% off, but those aren’t hard to remove.

A: My pre-ordered copy of Funny Story didn’t have any stickers on it.

A: I have also found that taking a hair dryer to the sticker in short bursts loosens the tackiness of the sticker for easier removal. This works for pretty much any sticker.

A: I preordered mine months ago and not it’s saying out of stock?!?

A: There will be a sticker, but Rebecca Yarros said it can be easily removed.

A: They are easily removed with the use of a cricut spatula tool. I got all mine off of my books, both paperback and hardback, this way with no issues.

A: My theory is it has to do with gauging the number of copies to be printed…

A: The propose of a preorder is not to get the book on the day it comes out or before anyone else. It just guarantees you get a copy.

A: Good question. Mine will be here the 26th. I've never had this happen with a pre-order. I'm going to try to get this one or the Target edition when they drop for pick up from store.

A: Don’t get too connected to any one character. One minute they’re there, and the next, they fall off a cliff and die (or do they…???)

A: You'll have to wait until the bool gets released and read it to find that out !

A: Yup. Regardless where you buy from, if you meet her when she’s signing, she’ll sign whatever books you ask

A: Sure, if you meet her I am sure she'd be happy to sign any copy you have.

A: Rebecca Yarros has said she won’t be doing signings to protect her hands. Even at the book tour she isn’t signing anything. All the signed books I’m assuming are machine signed.
