Onyx Storm - by Rebecca Yarros (Hardcover)

I think this was my favorite of the three books! This entire series is incredible and I found myself never wanting to put the books down. The quality of this hard back book was also great. No dents in the book cover and no tears or folds in the pages.

I’m sooo excited to read it the back says it was $30 but target sold it for $17 but I had a deal and got it for $13 I love target thank you for making affordable!!

Typically, author's lose steam when they write the second or third book in a series, but not RY. She isn't showing down. This may be an unpopular opinion, but Onyx Storm was even better than Iron Flame for me. I loved this book!

Target pickers need to do better! I placed my order online and was so excited to get my new book. Once I got it I realized that I had received a book with a broken and crushed spine. As a book lover it made me feel upset that I paid for a brand new book and received a broken one. My rating has nothing to do with the story as it’s a great book but the condition of my book itself. It was very disappointing! Also, Target stop putting stickers on the books or make it that whatever is being advertised can safely be taken off without damaging the books.

Great addition in the series! A much needed improvement on the last book! That cliffhanger though!!!!

Another 5-Star read.

Been waiting for this book to come out and had it pre-ordered since last July on Amazon. Was disappointed because it was unavailable for delivery since they didn't order enough. Was very happy Target had it available and I didn't have to wait for an additional printing of more books!

This is why I always try to wait for a series to be complete before I start it! How on earth am I supposed to wait for book four!?! The ending literally took my breath away. Now to try and catch it while I bide my time. Please hurry Ms.Yarros! Book four can’t come soon enough!

Gosh! What a great read!! It will be hard to wait for the next book, but RY left us with so much to think about!!

I had this pre-ordered with Amazon for months and they continued to require me to validate my request. Then canceled my order. After that, I ordered from Barnes & Noble, but shipping was like nine days and there was no guarantee it was in stock. Target for the wind they said they had it and they shipped it and delivered it when they said they would.

We have dragons to ride.” Rebecca Yarros did what she does best…she played my emotions like a fiddle. Way more tears were shed over this book than I was expecting. No one is safe! While this book was a massive information and character dump, it was SO good. The first 40% was chocked full of information and new people, but from then on the story was moving and unpredictable! I had so many moments I gasped and where I was shocked to find an answer, only find a new question! And can we talk about Ridoc? He was the comedic relief and the heart of this book! Protect him at all costs! “I’m either completely in love with your boyfriend or utterly terrified of him,” Ridoc says under his breath. “Not sure at the moment.” “Both,” Cat answers from his left. “You can be both. Trust me.” By far my favorite book in the Empyrean series. If an author and tug my emotions so much I’m crying over people AND dragons, I’ve got some serious respect for her writing. “I. Can’t. Kill. Him. I could no more raise a blade to his throat than I could Violet. The bond between Violence and me is the kind of magic that has no explanation.” How are we going to survive the wait till the next book!?

Love Rebecca Yarros - my rating is for Target!! I purchased & preordered my book in November, the release date was 1/21 and it’s 1/28 and still NO BOOK!!! Never preordering from Target again!! All preorders from Amazon and Barnes & Noble have always arrived on or just before the book release date. This is just so frustrating & inconsiderate Target.

Hey, guess what Target. Some people don’t buy physical copies of books to read. They buy them to display on their bookshelves. It’s bad enough that you put the ugly stickers all over them, but when you deliver them across the country in a PAPER BAG, and they get damaged, it’s EXTREMELY frustrating.

I was very disappointed with the book I received. The cover has a packing sticker attached to it that can't be removed. It looks like someone tried to remove it and realized they couldn't remove it and stopped. The jacket is completely ruined. I tried to take a picture and the app wouldn't let me. I will not order another book from Target.

This is a wonderfully fun and emotional book series so 5 stars for Rebecca! If you enjoy adventure and romance, this book series is for you! Rebecca knocks it out of the park everytime! The product itself is beautiful and will look wonderful on my bookshelf. Can't wait to collect the next books in the series! Please note, some of the low star ratings are a result of Target's order experience and not a reflection on the book or its contents. The book community is upset by this but product reviews can be about the product itself or a person's order experience so the customers did nothing wrong by posting a bad review on their order experience. Recommendation: My recommendation to Target is to change their pre-order process to allow the ability to ship and pickup in store. This would allow everyone who pre-orders to reserve their copy and pick it up same day/in store. This would ensure no one gets their copy too early OR too late while ensuring there is enough supply for those who did not have an opportunity to pre-order. I hope Target takes the launch of this book as a lesson to better handle pre orders in the future.

Absolutely the best series I have ever read and I just started it like three days ago and already finished everything. I’m not sleeping tonight until I finish this book.
