poorly published the binding fell apart almost immediately. The cover doesn’t close all the way, and overall, very cheaply made. All the pages have a bend right at the spine. Pretty good story though. Recommend reading it but maybe check to make sure you got a good copy or get a soft cover.

I accidentally read the books backwards. I didn’t really know what was going on until 40 pages into the second book. At that point i was committed to finishing it! I liked it so much i bought the first book and read it. It was like reading a prequel that really filled in a lot of things. I don’t regret my mistake. LOL

Alright, so after finishing Fourth Wing I immediately put in a pick-up order for IF that same day. It pulled me in right away! You can expect surprises, more world-building, backstory, (which I'll admit is kind of confusing sometimes but don't give up) new characters, and of course an ending that will leave you wanting more. This book is a bit longer than the first, but don't let it discourage you. I could hardly put it down. I don't want to be too specific to avoid spoiling, but my one gripe is that she kinda poorly explains the logic behind how magic works. It had me confused at times. Stick it out to the end because I guarantee you will be wanting more after reading those last chapters! UGHHH I hope the third will come sooner than later.

Be prepared to lose sleep as you'll want to stay up to keep reading this addictive novel. The characters are complex and interesting as is the subject matter. This is my new favorite book, right up there at the top of the most fun, entertaining, and addictive books I've ever read.

Iron flame is a pitiful excuse for a fantasy novel and an abysmal romance book. The writing itself is subpar and basic at best. Instead of buffing up sentence with strong language, Rebecca Yarros chooses to use dry and dead language to describe things like combat and what should be impactful moments. The two main characters, Violet and Xaden, have the same fight atleast 8+ times throughout the book. After they fight, just when you think you’re about to learn more about the lore, world, or Xaden himself they just end up having s*x (which at this point is just repetitive, dry, and corny as heck) If you have a high standard for storytelling and the level of writing, skip this one or go into it with very low expectations. She wrote this one incredibly quickly to try to capitalize off tiktok hype and it 100% shows.
