I don’t know how they taste microwaved but when you steam them as per the instructions, they are delicious. I used my rice cooker with the steamer basket and 10 min while frozen. They were perfect! Didn’t stick and didn’t expand too much. Flavor of filling is great! I cut them in 4 parts so each bite has enough bread. Bread is so fluffy and sweet! I can’t try any other feeling due to allergies but this one is good and I loved it. I eat it for breakfast. My kids hated it tho LOL everyone tastebuds are different. STEAM THEM!

I don't understand the people who are raving over the filling in this. It tastes disgusting. And I don't just mean in the general sense of oh I don't like this, I mean it tastes bitter and burnt after strictly following the microwaving instructions. The texture is also very strange.

Fantastic Bao Flavor from Wow Bao
I recently tried this bao flavor and it was incredible!! It has an amazing sweet and salty combo and is perfect for Teriyaki lovers!! My second favorite would also have to be their Cheesburger Bao! Overall I am a huge fan of WowBao not only because of their high quality ingredients but also their delicious flavors! Highly recommend!

Put simply this is a great product.
Contrary to most other microwavable food i've tried, it's great! It's easy to prepare and flavor is not lacking. What impresses me the most, is that this did not lose it's intended texture like hardening being that this is a steamed dish. I would recommend not only for snack, but for a lazy dinner or if your trying to impress you date.

The box has 2 sealed bags, each with 2 bao, for a total of 4 bao. You can prepare them using two methods: steaming on the stovetop or microwaving. I chose to steam them on the stovetop, which takes only 10 minutes. The baos are a nice snack, taste decent for frozen and has generous filling but are pricey.

Why is there cilantro in this?!
I was so excited to try this flavor, but was super disappointed with the cilantro inside. It does not work with chicken teriyaki! I’m Japanese, and we don’t pair cilantro with chicken teriyaki. The cilantro simply overwhelmed the flavor and you don’t get the sweet umami of the teriyaki flavor. I liked the other Asian flavors from their other baos, so it just added to the disappointment. You don’t need it in there. I hope they consider tweaking their recipe for this filling.
