Q: Can you use fabric softener (ie. Downy) on waffle towels?

submitted by Julie G - 5 years ago

  • A: fabric softener will reduce the absorbancy of any bath towel and should be avoided if maximum absorbancy is desired.

submitted byBeleszove - 4 years ago

  • A: Try omitting fabric softener and just get some dryer balls. I have used fabric softener for 40 years but just switched to dryer balls a couple years ago. You’ll save money and eliminate so many harmful chemicals we didn’t know about in the past. I’m a RN and only throw my scrubs in the dryer for about 10 min with the dryer balls to take the wrinkles out and then hang them to finish drying. Never have static cling.

submitted byPamRN - 6 months ago

  • A: You should never ever use fabric softener on towels of any kind. It ruins both the absorbancy and the towel's natural softness.

submitted byTowel Master - 2 years ago

  • A: Ignore the response that says "Yes!" because it is incorrect. Towels should never be rinsed with fabric softener nor dried with dryer sheets, unless you like towels that do not absorb water.

submitted bySBVivian - 2 years ago

  • A: Yes, I use fabric softener on mine. I just use a small amount, like about half of the lowest recommended line in the lid. I think they feel much nicer than without. And they absorb fine.

submitted byEvie Time - 1 year ago

  • A: Yes!

Q: Where are the washcloths?

submitted by Carole - 4 years ago

  • A: https://www.target.com/p/5pk-organic-gauze-washcloth-set-warm-casaluna-8482/-/A-91921460

submitted byMary - 1 year ago

  • A: Thank you for asking this!!! I have wondered the same thing...it's why I never bought these & keep checking the website! The waffle texture is so inviting & why there isn't a washcloth baffles me! 😔

submitted byRebscholl - 2 years ago

  • A: Thanks for reaching out.  We currently do not have any washcloths in the assortment for Casaluna Waffle Towels, only the bath and hand towels are being sold in-store and online. Happy Shopping! - Nicole

Q: The newest bath towels I ordered have a hanging loop - if I order more will they also have a loop? None of my older ones do.

submitted by suzie - 1 year ago

  • A: I bought these earlier this week, they most definitely have a loop.

submitted byKcren - 6 months ago

  • A: To clarify I ordered these specific towels and the bath towels most definitely have a loop. I was asking if that’s a new feature.

submitted bysuzie - 1 year ago

  • A: Hi suzie - Thank you for the inquiry. No, these do not come with a hanging loop. Hope this helps! - kris

Q: My husband and I like towels that are more on the 'scratchy' side vs so soft you can't get the water off your body. Which are these?

submitted by Susiejr - 4 years ago

  • A: They are not like super fluffy hotel towels, and not scratchy like linen ones either. It's more like a thick firm gauze, and feels thin when using it almost like a kitchen towel but still very absorbent. They definitely do not push water around as long as you don't use fabric softener on them.

submitted byShi - 2 years ago

  • A: Hi Susiejr - Thank you for reaching out! This beautiful Waffle Bath Towel is made from 100% cotton with a washed finish for natural softness. Happy shopping! - Cedria

Q: Do these towels shed lint?

submitted by Shari - 8 months ago

  • A: I just washed my Casaluna waffle towels to get ready to use. I was shocked to see that when they were done drying my lint trap was overflowing. I have never seen anything like it. I thoroughly cleaned out the trap and rewashed and dried the towels. And again the lint trap was bursting with lint from the towels. I haven’t used the new towels yet. I plan to use them for my morning shower tomorrow. I’ll report back if there are a lot of fuzzies clinging to me after my shower.

submitted byhockeymom - 4 months ago

  • A: Hey Shari - Thank you for your interest in this towel. While you may face little linting, this would not be excessive. If you face any issue, please reach out to us and we will surely resolve this. Hope this helps! - Josh

Q: This towel is NOT oeko tex 100. It is made in green. Can you please remove the Oeko Tex 100 claim? This is an oversight. Can you assert that these do not contain any antimicrobials?

submitted by Sam - 1 year ago

  • A: Yes, OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is a premium, traceable label that goes a step further than the Standard 100. While Standard 100 only checks the final product for harmful chemicals, MADE IN GREEN guarantees that the product was also made in environmentally friendly facilities under socially responsible working conditions with full traceability.

    submitted bySch927 - 6 months ago

  • A: Hello Sam - We appreciate your interest in this item. The Casaluna Waffle Towel is OEKO-TEX certified and the "Made in Green" certification is an enhanced version of the STANDARD 100 certification that includes it. The product descriptions do not list any antimicrobial treatments. Happy shopping at Target. – Alvin

    Terrible

I don,t feel they dry well and they're stretchy. Washed/dried them twice now and the amount of lint is enough to fill a small pillow. Probably why they feel so thin even though they're waffled.

PSYCHED to find this affordable, better than the original dupe!!

I've been hemming and hawing over these towels for years, not having seen them in person. Finally had one delivered, washed it. Folks, it's softer and more plush than that very expensive brand of which I bought 5 full sets in 2020. I'm PSYCHED! Can't rave enough.

    Nice at first

At first i loved the feel of these, they felt so comfortable, but after the second wash I went to use them and while I was drying off I got cover in lint to the point that I had to get back in the shower and wash off again and I saw a ton of big globs rince off! Unfortunately I will be returning.

    Poor Quality

Like the appearance but dislike the feel and functionality. Towels are supposed to dry. These don’t! Also, the hand towels never dry. They stay wet or at least damp. Would not recommend. Neither husband or I will use them.

    Terrible waffle Towel Option

Unused, only one wash and the towels have loose strings in multiple places. Washed only with other towels. Very disappointing for the price. Look like they’ve been used for months.

Used one of these towels at a relative’s house over the weekend. I liked it so much that I ordered some for my own home. I like the design and the soft feel of the towels. My relative had the green color and I ordered the natural - both colors are true to the pictures.

Does not dry, gets moldy and tought on skin

Very disappointed with this towel. Had it for 2 years now and although it holds up in wash it didn’t get any softer. The yarn is still rough and not pleasant on skin, especially sensitive one. Hand towel doesn’t get dry at all. It is always wet and gets moldy. My 3 dollar terry cotton hand towels work much better. I own other items from Casaluna and they are better than generic products as a rule, but this one is a bummer
