Fun activity
My 4 year old loves this. It’s pretty much like a clay/sand do it is pretty hard to dig for the dinosaur but we just soaked it in water to soften it up a bit and it was easier. Fun for older kids my 9 year old helped my four year old and they had lots of fun

Pretty cool dino eggs
This is definitely a project to be done outside or in a container. It gets very messy very quick. The eggs where a lot bigger than I expected which was nice. It was time consuming for the kids to scrape through it dry. Once we wet the egg the process went quicker. Clean up is pretty quick and it does wash out of clothes well. Great project to keep kids busy for a bit.

Messy Educational Fin
My son loves dinosaur and this provides hours of fun! The excitement in my son’s face when he is discovering what dinosaur is in each egg. It is a little messy but so nice to see him enjoying something other than a device. This is educational and fun!

Fun and messy
My kiddos love dinosaurs; ages 7 and 4. This kit was probably a little too much for them. We tried several tactics: warm water (soften the compound), dry and chipping away, and then finally, throwing against the sidewalk. The both preferred the last option, and we had a lot of fun using the tools to chip and brush away the remaining compound.

Fun activity for a dinosaur lover!
I was surprised to see how big these eggs were when we opened the kit to take a look at it. We will be using these at my daughter’s birthday for an activity. It comes with 12 individually wrapped eggs and 12 excavation tools to work with. There is also an informational booklet for additional learning for when they find the dinosaurs - I am guessing we will use water similar to the other kits like this we have had in the past to make it easier.

Fun and engaging dinosaur kit!
This dinosaur dig kit is so much fun. My kids have enjoyed digging the dinosaurs out of the eggs. The eggs have little holes to help the kids get started digging. Be prepared for the mess. We did our “dig” outside as there’s lots of dust and mess. The eggs were securely packaged and the tools were just right for the job. We highly recommend this!

Perfect gift for the young archeologist in all of us.
This is a very good gift for the young archeologist in all of us. It can get a little messy so best to do outside. Kids love the digging and breaking open of every egg to see what’s in side. My 8 and 5 year old had a blast well exploring every egg. Would recommend soaking in warm water to help the digging process. Over all I would recommend this to anyone that has little kids that love nature and exploring.

Great hands on activity!
My son is 11 and had so much fun with this. My son and I read the instructions together and he was so excited to get the dinosaur inside. It took about 30 minutes to get the dinosaur out of the egg and he had a lot of fun doing it. All he can talk about is getting all 12 of the dinosaurs out.

Great for parties or a dino loving person
I was surprised at how big the eggs were! With a little bit of work you get to the dinosaurs using the tools provided in the set. Perfect for a dinosaur party or someone who is a dinosaur fanatic. The kit even comes with an information booklet to learn even more about dinosaurs. Highly recommend!

Dino Dig Set
This is a nice 12pc set. It will work great for a birthday activity. I didn’t see any age group listed, but i would think 4-10 year olds would have fun with it. It comes with 12 eggs and 12 excavation tools that are small with a brush on one side and sharper side on the end.

Can be messy but worth it!
This was an amazing set. I recommend definitely doing this outside or if inside to only be used on covered surfaces. It was MESSY! But my kids throughly enjoyed it. I like the idea it could be bought as a party/classroom activity too. There is certainly enough with 12 eggs! I also recommend using a bowl of water or a spray bottle. Even myself at 42 struggled to get the dinosaurs out without that. But the water itself may have been the reason for the larger mess. All in all my kids really enjoyed this and it kept their attention for awhile. The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is more because of how large the clean up was for me.

Fun and busy activity for littles.
Really fun activity for the kids. My kid were so excited to open these up and it kept them busy for hours. They did start using water which made a giant mess everywhere. Also it make a lot of dust so I recommend doing this activity outdoors.

So much fun!
This National Geographic dig set kit is so much fun! My kids absolutely loved it! The eggs were easy to open and "digging" them took some time (which is fantastic! :) ). At one point, we did add them to water to help soften them, to open. Overall, I think this is an amazing set for a gift or classroom setting. My set had 6 different dinosaurs x 2 . I would definitely get this again if new dinos were added.
