Loads of fun for my 8 year old granddaughter. Experiments work as described.

This is a cool little kit for my two kids. My 11 year old daughter was able to help my 6 year old son through each experiment. they had a lot of fun working together and testing these experiments out.

These kits from National Geographic are reliable, easy to use, and good quality! I’m sure Santa is very excited to share this with my son at the end of the month! And the amount of content in the box should help ease the two week break from school!

This kit is a lot of more involved than I thought it would be. You get to create your own volcano before erupting it! This kit includes everything to have a fun and educational time with your child. Highly recommend!

This kit has several activities to do, some of them take up to a few days to complete, be warned! It is great for kids who love to discover and collect, but takes patience. The volcano took a couple of days. There are A LOT of packets that go to each activity so be sure to keep them separate because we got a little confused. The volcano was probably the coolest but messiest. Not for small kids!

This Earth Science kit is filled with several fun activities that educate kids on that give kids insight into volcanoes, crystals and tornadoes and kept my three younger kiddos entertained. The box includes supplies for more than five Earth science experiments and activities. The kit includes a full-color learning guide, most of what you need to complete each activity (you will need to provide measuring cups, baking sheet, soda bottles and a big disposable container), and easy to follow instructions (some parental help may be needed. I love that it is hands on, but be aware that some activities are messier than others and some may take longer, i.e. the crystals and the volcano, to complete.

Really cool science kit. My kids had lots of fun doing the different experiments. I would say this is more for older kids as some of the experiments required a few hours to days to complete. My younger 6& 9 year olds were very impatient. Overall very fun.

Both of my kids (aged 10 and 5) enjoyed the activities in this kit. My older child did the crystal experiment. It does take some patience because you have to wait a few days for it to grow but the end result was cool. My youngest did the rock dig which she enjoyed and the volcano which she was ecstatic to see. Warning to parents: you have to make the volcano out of plaster before you can use it in the experiment, so plan ahead. The kit involves a lot of parental assistance in my opinion but overall my kids enjoyed it!

This is a pretty fun science experiment kit if your kid likes science and hands on crafts. In this kit, you get to dig for fossils, grow a crystal, erupt a volcano and create a hurricane. While this was fun to do, keep in mind that you will need a lot of extra stuff such as measuring cups, baking sheet, soda bottles and a big disposable container. Also, this experiment tends to get really messy, especially the volcano eruption and the gold bar breaking. Also, if your kid isn’t patient - this is not for you. It will take 7 days to grow a crystal and if you are manually drying your volcano it will take 2 days and 2 hours if you are drying it in the oven. My daughter did not like the fact that she had to wait so long, she was ready to see the results right away. Overall, really cool kit - but super messy and takes up to a week to see the result of some of the experiments.

We had a blast with this! My kids are younger (5, 3) than recommended for the kit (8), but we just did everything as a group project and it was great! My 5 year old loved mining out gold. My 3 year old had so much fun painting the volcano. The special rocks area hit. Overall, so worth it.

So much is included within this kit. Hours of entertainment and educational. Instructions are clear and materials are nicely labeled

Bought this for my 8 year old nephew for his birthday. He dove right in, he loves it! Great idea for someone who already has a lot of toys!

Liked everything about it. My 7 year old Granddaughter loved it.

It's a Christmas gift so I cannot give a review at this time. Looks interesting though

All the science experiments were a hit with our kids. Our crystal grew well, and my son continues to explore the rock collection well after we did the experiments. My son enjoyed digging for “fool’s gold” and was excited about the prospect of a tiny bit of real gold mixed in. All of my kids were excited about the volcano; they insisted we keep the mold so we can do another one again some day. The only experiment we didn’t try was the bottle tornado, because my toddler got a hold of that piece and it was never seen again. No fault of the product, though!

This is another Christmas present my daughter chose for her daughter. She is fascinated in Science.
