  • A: Thanks for taking the time to reach out. We appreciate your question! As of January 2016, all of our cheese is made exclusively with a fermentation-produced rennet (also referred to as “enzymes”) that is considered vegetarian. You will find a mention of this on product packaging which indicated that the rennet is vegetarian / no animal rennet is used. At this time, we do still offer a few kinds of Tillamook Cheese that were made before January 2016 and contain traditional bovine rennet. These are: Maker’s Reserve Aged 11 Years Maker’s Reserve Aged 13 Years I hope that this was helpful but if you have any further questions about rennet or anything else, feel free to let me know!

  • A: Hello, thank you for reaching out! Almost all of Tillamook's cheeses are halal certified, and those that are all include a halal certification symbol on the package. This particular cheese you have asked about is unfortunately one of the few that is not halal. As an alternative, I recommend looking for our halal-certified whole milk mozzarella chunk cheese and shredding it at home.

    Perfect for on the go

    Fresh and the best cheese by far

    I love this cheese. Its a little on the expensive side but its worth it. I love how the cheese doesnt stick togeter and how the shreds arent thin and stringy. It looks like I took a grater and grated fresh cheese. The taste is amazing. I use it for ziti and homemade pizzas.

    Perfect for little kids and grown ups alike

    One of my toddlers favorite snacks. Soft and fresh tasting and super easy to pack in a snack bag with the single serving wrapper! I’ve also stolen quite a few out of the bag for myself for a quick snack that fits into my low-cal-high-protein plan.

    Delicious, balanced mozzarella

    Delicious, melty ooey gooey mozzarella. I love the whole milk mozzarella as it gives it more depth and Tillamook uses great ingredients and the perfect amount of salt so it isn't too much or bland. It's so good in lasagna, or any pasta. I also like this cheese in a Ceasar salad. Nice texture for mozzarella as a topping or melted, it isn't dry or too wet. One of my new favorite.

    Excellent cheese

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I follow one of your dairy farmers and love seeing how well the cows are taken care of. He is a part of Tillamook. So I was pleased to see Tillamook in some of my local stores. Since I live in the land of Cabot cheese there were not to many options in this area. So I tried Tillamook cheese and these Mozzarella slices are awesome! The cheddar is also Excellent. Let's not forget how great the ice cream is either, loving having Tillamook products in my area.
