    Fun, Energetic, Exciting Game!

The game was very enjoyable to play. I had a lot of fun playing it. You might want a bigger playing space with no breakables because there is throwing and heading (like in soccer) the ball. The game length was just right. It was very easy to learn because it has a bunch of the same rules as the card game "War", so if you already know how to play that, they just added energy and movement to it. I would recommend this for kids who are in first or second grade up to grownups depending on the grownup's personality. I don't think two grownups would play it together but it is a good game for kids and grownups to play together. The cards are easy to read. It was easy to keep track of who was winning. - review by Morgan, age 10

Played with some friends last minute. As a collective in our mid-30’s, we were a little overly confident in the minigames and told ourselves we needed to take BIG steps to make the games more reasonable “for adults.” Suddenly we learned how uncoordinated we really were and how hilarious it was to be either observers or participants in the games. Overall very fun and simple game, would be great for kids and adults alike, and provides inspiration for additional ideas on minigame challenges.

Roly Poly Goalie is an awesome game! We had so much fun. I think the adults liked it more than the kids. It's great to have a game that younger kids can play and you can throw things! Also, the artwork is amazing. Definitely worth adding to our game collection.

Okay, I will admitat first I thought that a game geared towards not just kids, but LITTLE kids would not translate to adults. I was SO wrong!! Not saying you HAVE to add shots, but I'm not saying it's a bad thing lol. It basically starts out as the card game war, but when a tie occurs hilarity ensues! We added extra distance on all the battle games to both make it harder and more entertaining for spectators, in fact had we had more space we probably would have increased the distance even more! The "battles" are easy in theory but can prove quite tricky ( especially with the added distance) and absolutly nothing is as funny as seeing adults wiggling across the ground noseing a ball to the finish line! Make sure you have your phones out because trust me, you NEED to photograph this :)

This game is adorable! I think war is one of the first card games most kids learn, and this takes it a step further with lots of interactivity. I especially love that it was developed by a mother and her kiddo. It absolutely shows in the gameplay!

The good: my son is learning numbers in preschool & we love this game for being about numbers and we got to talk about more and less. As always the game is very well made and so freaking cute! The bad: dogs & foam balls do NOT mix well. We made some adjustments & kept our game to a table, but it does take some room to get the most out of the game

We had a ton of fun with this game. Like all exploding kittens games it meant to be fast and funny. It takes a classic card game, WAR, and turns it into something that gets people moving (and dodging). It's become one of our favorite quick game night games.

If the answer is yes, we have questions. If the answer is no, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!We absolutely LOVE this game. We were laughing so hard we were crying and at one point, one of us (me) almost peed a little. It’s super easy to play so I think our toddler will be able to participate within the next couple of years (with help). For now, we’ve been playing with two adults and a 12-year-old and all of us had SUCH a great time! It will definitely be one of the games we keep in reach to play whenever one of us (the 12-year-old) gets bored. We would add a video, but honestly, we don’t want to torture you and fill you with jealousy at our INCREDIBLE athletic ability. And luckily, we only had one head injury in the whole game!

    Simple Game With Fun Variations

The core of this game is similar to "war", the main difference being that when there is a tie, there is a "battle" between teams that involves throwing the included balls. This is a great game for kids because the rules are simple, the game is quick, and it doesn't involve sitting for too long. It's also a good game for families because it is engaging enough to keep the adults entertained as well. We're going to a board game meetup tomorrow, and this is definitely going into our backpack. The only drawbacks of the game is that it might be difficult to play in a small space, and some of the "battles" might be difficult for people with limited mobility. For future editions, it would be nice to create variations for remaining seated that would both be easier to play in a small space and be more inclusive of those with disabilities that make it difficult to stand andl/or move quickly.

Good fun for the whole family! But this mama definitely felt old after getting off the floor, lol! Make sure you don't destroy the box when you open it, you'll need it when you play. And if you have long hair, put it in a ponytail before the final challenge. Otherwise, you may end up pulling your own hair with your knee!

    Silly fun for all ages

This game is immensely silly. The main gameplay is the card game War, where you and an opponent place cards at the same time, and the one with the higher number takes both. However, when the same cards are played, a “Roly Poly” battle takes place, using the cute round squishies that come with the game. Make sure you play this either outside, or in an area with a LOT of space. The roly polys are squishy, but are apt to get chucked across the room.I played this game both the real way, but also with my 2-year-old daughter. She is far too young to play the game for real, but it was still so much fun for her to tell me the numbers and the colors on the cards, and roll the roly polys across the floor. Definitely recommend for any age group!

Funnest, cutest game that everyone in the family will love

First of all, the Roly Poly are super cute, soft, squishy, expressive balls that my 4 year old daughter had fun playing with even without actually playing the actual game. The premise of the game is simple: collect the most cards/points. To acquire them you play a game of trump card but when you tie, epic battles happen in one of four different mini games using the Roly Poly balls. Of the four, Roly Poly Knock off was the only one that we didn't like as much due to having issues keeping the Roly Poly on the top of the box (it kept rolling off). Maybe can include a hole/groove or some sort of holder for the Roly Poly to make it easier to set off & a little more challenging to knock off.I love that there's also an option on how to play with special rules if adults play kids to level out the playing field. This is an amazingly fun game to play for hours of laughs and epic battles with your family and friends. Just make sure you have enough space around the house where things won't get broken =><=

I can't believe how much this game had me reminiscing about my childhood yet laughing at the cute twists, and the ultimate, final battle in this game of war is by far the most entertaining part! While this game is made so you can play on teams with others, I still think a good classic game of war is best for 2 players... unless you add some house rules ;D It's seriously like Throw Throw Burrito and War had a baby, and I love it! I can't wait to play it with my nephew!

    Fun with a toddler!

So far I’ve played this game twice, once with my toddler and once with my spouse. Both were fun but it’s definitely a game to play WITH kids. Basically war meets dodgeball. The Roly Pollies were a big hit with my kid, and I loved that they were each unique and funny. I’m not usually a fan of games where luck plays such a large roll like war, but this was a good time and went really fastI wish the numbered cards had fun illustrations in the signature KTP style but in general the game looked cute and was clear. Maybe I missed something but whoever goes first to knock the roly poly off of the box has a clear advantage. Obviously in adults vs kids you let the kid go, but that could use some balancingWith a kid or an adult, it was silly fun. The setup was fast and easy and can be played in a pretty small spot for a throwing game. Looking forward to more like this or even an expansion of some sort (hockey sticks maybe?)

How to make the card game War fun!

This game asks how can we make that boring card game War not suck? Add a hint of Throw Throw Burrito in and you have Roly Poly Goalie. The game starts as the standard 1v1 war setup up even to the point of laying out 3 prize cards after a match. After that it's very different! Instead of flipping another card to decide the victor, you get to play fun mini games. This includes battles and trying to knock a roly poly off the game box. It also help how amazing the art of the throw items in the Exploding Kitten games are which now includes burritos, avocados, and roly polys. The one thing we weren't crazy about was the final battle moving the roly poly on the ground with our heads. We just opted to do a throw from far away and see who could closer for the points. The best part is unlike War, the game can end 2 ways and doesn't drag on forever like War tends to. Like War you win if you get all the cards but games will often end when all 7 battles have been completed so it never becomes tedious.
