The table top is made out of plastic and the metals that hold the table and chairs are hallow in the inside limiting weight support. The table top looks really cute until you start noticing it's not scratch or high temperature resistance. This is not a good option for a dinning table or even a coffee table. This is more of a decorative table just for decorative purposes but not to be used. Extremely sad and disappointed. For this table to be made out of plastic and cardboard I wouldn't pay a single penny over $50 dollars. Those chairs are a huge injury hazard for anyone over 100 lbs, please don't take the risk by purchasing it, no amount of cuteness is worth the injury risk.
