[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a son who has always had a love for art. With my husband being an artist it runs in his genes. This shells kit was such a hit. Not only did it psych him up for our beach trip but it gave him something to do during these killer hot days inside. We love the fact that she shells came with so much stuff. He opted out of the diamonds, but put paint and puffy paint on his shells. We used the clay to make other objects for next to the shells instead of putting it on the shells. The clay is super easy to use, it doesn’t dry very fast, but when it does dry it can crack a bit so be sure to not make anything too thin. We learnt the hard way that the paint does not come out of clothes. So be sure to wear old clothes. The shells are not real which is also a bummer. I received an incentive to write this review.

We purchased for our nieces ages 8, 6, & 3 and they had so much fun! This kit is definitely geared towards the 6+ range as displayed. The kit is very high quality and comes with so many fun paints, stickers & even Clay! The seashells are just the perfect size and we love that they glow in the dark! Such a fun project! There were so many different options of things to use to decorate them differently. I bought this for my 3 year old, but my 5 and 6 year old also joined in and had so much fun! The glow in the dark paint is such a cool feature and the air dry clay to turn them in to creatures is so creative. I received an incentive to write this review.

It doesn’t just come with paint it comes with, molding clay, goggle eyes, stickers, and glitter paint. It kept them busy for a long time while I was able to get some stuff done around the house. I comes with a lot of shells so you can use this multiple times for the kids. I received an incentive to write this review.

When opening it, I immediately noticed that the “12 shells” included are not real shells, they’re just plastic. It doesn’t mention that anywhere on the packaging which I found odd. The paint doesn’t stick as nicely on the fake plastic shells as it does on real shells, so be aware. I do like that the kit came with a lot of accessories: air dry clay, paint, gem stickers, glitter glues, googly eyes, but I likely won’t purchase again at this price point. It was kind of overwhelming and messy for him but he did love working on it together. The paint is definitely not glow in the dark which he was disappointed by but overall, his shell creations turned out really cute and he was very proud of them. The play doh included was a nice touch, he loved that part! I received an incentive to write this review.
