This dresser is mediocre at best. Nothing is square, with gaps everywhere. The drawers will not shut properly because the front of the unit isn't straight. Total piece of junk!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so pretty! Better than I expected. Really solid, good quality. They sent unassembled but did the hard parts like the drawer tracks. I’m so impressed with the quality and will definitely purchase from Plank and Beam again when I need something! The only thing I would change is that our bedroom furniture is oak, which they didn’t have, so I got Rustic Pecan, which almost matches. Very happy with this!

Would not recommend

Overall, not very happy with style and quality. Item arrived with defects in several spots. The company was responsive to try to resolve the issues. Aside from the defects, the drawers seem small and lack room for clothes.

Sub par product.

One drawer panel was cracked in half. Three pieces of the dresser had cracks. One of the connector pieces was pounded in too far to fit into its groove. I had to clean out several of the holes that connectors, dowels, and screws went into. Assembly was extremely difficult. I ordered two of the twin over queen bunk beds from plank + beam, and they were great quality and easy to assemble. I was able to get the dresser assembled and hope it doesn't fall apart given the issues listed above. I'm disappointed and would not recommend.

Disappointed in purchase

Dresser arrived with styrofoam crushed and broken. Several visible wood pieces were chipped along with 2 of the drawer tracks bent out of shape. I ordered this piece and a matching bedside table. The """"rustic """" style of the furniture I liked. But I did not expect the wood to be so rough and dry. The was absolutely no finish on it other than the stain. I used Murphy oil scratch remover on all pieces to improve the finish and quality of the wood. I was disappointed with this purchase because of the quality and damage. It took 2 people 4 hours ( with short breaks) to put it together, plus the time to condition the wood.

Still not built, central part broke, still waiting for replacement

We got our order in a timely manner but when we tried to build it, a slotted piece didn't fit flush and when we gave it a light tap, it chipped the slot and made the piece unusable. That was over two weeks ago and we still haven't gotten a replacement piece. We have all the parts crowding our small home office and our visitors who came last week had nowhere to put their clothes for their stay It's been very frustrating waiting for the replacement piece. I'll update my review if the piece comes

I'm only giving three stars because it's super heavy and would be very hard to put together alone. I've had it almost 4 weeks and it's still in the box. The matching nightstands are great though!

A Great Value

This dresser looks far more expensive than it is. My husband spent his career as a commercial carpenter and has assembled virtually every brand of modular furniture. He was so impressed with the construction of this dresser. The only criticisms I can make are that the wood, though solid, is quite soft, and care will have to be taken to avoid nicks. The finish is also a little bit dull, but for the price, quality of construction, and style, this is a great piece.

Avoid this dresser and furniture from Target

What a mess. Ordered 2 dressers for my son’s room. Only one arrived and I was told the other was lost during shipping. They refunded the dresser and I had to place a replacement order. This order arrived and the top of the dresser was all the way at the bottom of the box. After we unpacked everything we found the top has a huge dent in it. Contacted target for a replacement top and only only option is to repack everything snd return via UPS or find a way to get this big dresser to the store. If Target cannot provide replacement parts or service furniture they should not sell it on their site. After weeks of waiting and finally getting a damaged dresser we are stuck with it.

Good dresser, plan to buy more.

I bought this for baby clothes. It's easy to assemble (it takes some time, about an hour, but easy) I wanted something that didn't off-gas, as I originally bought a huge fabric dresser, but had to immediately put it outside as it smelled really bad. Days later, it was still off-gassing outside on my porch and I gave it away. Someone on a health conscious FB group recommended this brand. I very happy that's it's primarily solid wood (except the drawer bottoms) The 6-drawer does still have a bit of a smell, whereas the 5 drawer didn't. Hence, the 4 star rating.

Wide dresser

Purchased both the wide and tall dresser. The tall bottom drawer sticks a little but we’re happy and confident enough that we are awaiting the purchase of a queen over queen bunk bed set. The process has been great. Very professional. Thanks!!
