Not calibrated
The thermometers are well attached to the backing but not calibrated (out of the box, NEW) so every thermometer gives a different and inaccurate reading.

Hard to read thermometers
These thermometers are difficult to read ...mounted on flimsy backing. Will not last. One good thing is that they are mercury-free.

DANGEROUS
These thermometers are VERY dangerous. The bulbs exploded and glass broke. They were not put in water nor were students playing with them, they just broke on their own. Also, the red die stuck to the sides and did not measure temperature accurrately. The classroom, in the middle of summer, was registering at 40 degrees. Terrible product!

DANGEROUS! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
As a science teacher, I work in a classroom with many passed down products from the year before. This product does not say "do not boil" or have any information about it being safe only up to 60`. This thermometer did not read the temperature correctly in the first place. But, then it broke in the water even before it reached the boiling point. As many science classroom materials get passed down for years, it is extremely likely that some future teacher would find and use this product to measure boiling water. For your safety and your students safety, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
