Designed to prevent distracted driving, this simple cloth barrier attaches to the back of your front seats and blocks the space above your center console. Mesh panels allow you and your dog plenty of visibility and the low-profile design won’t interfere with your human passengers. And, unlike other cloth barriers, our internal support rods provide plenty of structural support.

It works. It’s sturdy. I wish there was more storage options. Pockets!!! The idea of the product is there and it does keep the dogs back there, but I would have liked to see more utility in the product. It also creates a bit of a blind spot, should be made with a more see through mesh. My dogs are only 20lbs. I think this product would not be sturdy enough for large dogs. I do like how easily adjustable it was.

The stitching immediately came apart after my dog put his weight on the top. Would work well for a lighter weight dog though.

Anytime we travel with our dogs two of the three have a penchant for jumping in the front seat. This product has done a great job keeping our large husky/German shepherd in the back. We have a King Charles Cavalier who would also constantly try to jump out of the backseat and on our laps in the front. This kept him in the back while we drove. However, he figured out that he could jump over it, so when we're parked somewhere and leave the three of them in the car he ends up in the front. I'd still recommend this product though, especially if you have larger dogs. The mesh still allows them to see out the front window if they're curious where we're headed. There is also mesh in front of the rear vents so they still get cool or warm air in the back.

My dog chewed through one of the straps on day one so it's now useless. Wouldn't recommend.

If your pup is prone to chewing, we highly recommend redirecting chewing behaviors with something like a chew toy during your travels, or even using a bitter apple spray on the barrier straps to help deter chewing. I’ve had this backseat barrier 4 months. It’s too high and blocks my view when backing. I also was uneasy about hooking the bottom of it to the underside of my power seats

A great concept, I only wish it was slightly taller. My GSD can still put her paws over it if she realllly wants to, but it definitely helps keep her in the backseat while still making her feel included.

It has good structure, but won't keep a bigger or wilier dog out. Mine just ended up going around the other side of the headrest...plus the tie around the headrest broke almost right away.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because it was a bit difficult to understand the instructions and it sits a bit off in our 2018 Chevy Malibu but overall it has done what we need it too and it holds up well. Had to tie off the extra straps since the space it covers is not too large but not something that gets in the way or looks off.

The barrier seems to be pretty well made but my dog can still hop right over it. It needs to be taller or have an adjustment so it goes higher above the head rests.

I like Kurgo products. We've got one of their back seat hammocks, as well as the Back Seat Bridge. We use the bridge when we go car camping to bridge the gap between the lowered seats and the front seats for sleeping. The hammock gets daily use and has been across the USA twice in our back seat--it is still going strong. The Back Seat Barrier retains Kurgo's quality and usability. Our dog is disappointed, though. She can't get into the front seat anymore.

BUT....I am not a fan of them jumping between the front and back seats. It's both a distraction and not safe. This provides a great block to keep them confined to the rear seat and takes that risk away. The extra pouches for storage are amazing as well

No more time spending trying to keep my dog from jumping on the center console. High quality materials and I’m sure it will last a long while. Looks good too. Our doodle loves to move from back seat to front seat area and this is the ticket to keep that from happening. (Much safer especially for the driver) all the built in pockets are great for organization and keeping things off the floor board.

They are large dogs so are not able to climb over the seats or this barrier. Also holds their leashes and toys.

I love the pockets they work well to hold things like leashes and clean up bags so have some everywhere we go. The black color also looks really nice and sleek.

This is a perfect compromise for dogs who love to ride in the car, if you don’t want them in the front or you don’t want to dirty your whole car!
