I am SO happy that Burt’s bees made a mineral SPF lip balm. Chemical lip balms taste the worst if you get some in your mouth, so I strictly stick to mineral. This does leave a white cast, but all other mineral SPF balms do as well. My only suggestion to make this product better is to decrease the graininess of the product. And maybe even add a tint to combat the whiteness. Overall amazing product, it does the job and smells great!

Super moisturizing and it smells SOOO good. The scent is creamy coconut and perfect for summer. It does have a bit of a weird texture, but that is because it's a natural SPF lip balm. Due to it being a mineral sunscreen it leaves a white cast, even on me as a super pale person. I could easily see this being an issue for people with darker skin complexions, but its easy to apply a tinted lip gloss over to remedy this.

I have used Burt's Bees and usually loved their lip balms. But this one leaves a terrible white cast (it's a mineral sunscreen). Even after smoothing it out, it remains white, which is annoying. Lips also don't feel as nourished.

I normally love Burt’s Bees, but this was a huge fail for me. The scent is pleasant, however it makes your lips look like they’re caked in sunscreen. No matter how many times you rub your lips together or how hard, they’re white. Waste of $8.99 and I don’t recommend. There are other SPF chapsticks for lips that don’t leave your lips white.
