Dole Frozen Pineapple Dole Whip - 14.4oz

I just tried this for the first time and it was very good! It's sweet but not too sweet and the pineapple flavor is amazing. The cups are the perfect portion size! Love the product.

I bought this thinking it would taste good like the ones you get at Disney ,these dole whip cups are gross tasting I can’t even describe what it tasted like after 2 bites I threw it away .

The new and improved recipe is a serious downgrade. Replacing organic coconut cream and honey with various gums and syrups… they increased the sugar significantly in this new formula and it’s so noticeable in the flavor. No longer subtle pineapple, now it’s like a sucker punch with an acidic spin. I would rather have defrosted if it meant I could have the same texture but a better quality product. They cut corners and kept the price!

I used to love these when the only added sweetener was honey. I even told my mom and boyfriend who are diabetic and pre diabetic about them and they also enjoyed them. I just bought some and I didn’t realize the recipe had changed. I took 1 taste and knew instantly that it was different and not in a good way. Why would you add unnecessary ingredients like sugar and tapioca syrup?! I will never buy these again unless the company goes back to the first recipe. I am so angry! I can’t even finish these. I’m throwing them away. I try very hard not to buy products with added processed sugar so imagine how happy I was when I first found these? I am very disappointed.

The old ingredients were: PINEAPPLE PUREE, ORGANIC COCONUT CREAM, HONEY, NATURAL FLAVORS, PLANT BASED STABILIZER (GUAR GUM, SUNFLOWER LECITHIN XANTHAN GUM) AND CITRIC ACID. The new ingredients are: Pineapple puree, water, TAPIOCA SYRUP, SUGAR, INULIN, COCONUT OIL, HIGH OLEIC SUNFLOWER OIL, contains less than 2% of: citric acid, natural flavors, sunflower lecithin and xanthan gum. It went from 110 calories to 140. And 11 grams of natural sugar and 13 total carbs to 14 grams of sugar (10 added) and 27 carbs. This is disgusting and deceitful.

Before their “improved flavor,” I would have given the product 5 stars. Now I give it a 2. It’s overpoweringly sugary and tastes artificial. It doesn’t taste like fruit anymore. Reviewing now because they changed the recipe. The carbohydrates have doubled (13g to 27g). And the sugar has increased from 11g to 14g. I thought I had found a somewhat health conscious, dairy-free dessert…..which I told myself to justify the higher purchase price. Not anymore. Now since they changed the recipe, I will no longer eat one a day. I will no longer be buying at all.

My co worker introduced this dessert to me and I have loved it ever since. That is until I purchased it yesterday. The coconut cream has been changed to coconut oil. This is the “ New improved “ taste. The lovely creaminess is gone. Now it’s just another overly sweet pineapple sorbet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took awhile for me to find this.it was sold out at couple of stores, so I had to hunt it down. I'm so glad I was able grab one. The pineapple flavored is so delicious and has a hint of coconut. I'm not s huge fan of coconut but this was good. My daughter saw me eating this and snatched it away. She enjoy cold sweets and this was a winner. Also I really want to emphasize how the it wasn't sour. Like how you would take a bite of pineapple and squint. Really loved that. More bites for me.

I thought it was going to be very icy and boring to have. I like the the product’s packaging goes straight to the point and it shows you clearly what type of product you are about to have without having to guess. It’s little but if you want something sweet, this will help you a lot since is sweet but not too sweet. It does good for removing that sweet tooth moment. It fits into my daily routine because it helps me keep organized with being fit but also treating myself. I don’t have it as often but I do treat myself at least twice a week and don’t feel bad about it.The taste is too overpowering with pineapple and that’s great because it does not leave that pineapple taste or weird feeling on your tongue. I really enjoyed the taste of this product. It’s not icy at all & it’s very smooth even for babies. I thaw the product for at least 5-10 minutes. It’s a must have!!!!!!

If you have ever went to Dole Plantation in Hawaii and tried their pineapple whip then you must try this!! I thawed mines out on a counter for 25 minutes to get it to a creamy soft serve texture. If you like it to be more of an ice cream texture I recommend 10 minutes. I originally thought it wouldn’t taste anything like pineapple, I’m also not a pineapple ice cream fan but I was wrong, the flavor tastes EXATLY like fresh pineapple just more creamy. You can taste that it has no artificial ingredients . On the packaging it stated that it is made with real fruit and it tastes exactly like that. The proportion is perfect for kids and adults and super convenient for on the go. My only thing is the wait time for the whip to thaw out, it does take quite a while for it to fully thaw out to become super creamy. I definitely will be buying these for summer beach days and the thaw time during the outside summer heat will be perfect.
