I’m usually not the one to get my hands on any of the Jakks Pacific Sonic Figures (Either because the ones I want are out of stock or the quality on them isn’t the best). However, I was surprised to see a new version of Mecha Sonic be released. Thinking it wouldn’t be much, except be larger in scale than the previous releases, I was shocked to see some of the cool features added to the figure; Glowing eyes/Jet pack, and roller skates. I felt like a kid on Christmas after playing around with the figure. If you ask me, whoever pitched the idea for this version of the Mecha Sonic figure deserves a raise. In conclusion, I see this figure being a wonderful gift for old and new Sonic fans to have in their collections. Here’s to hoping we see a Mecha Sonic Mark II (My favorite version of Mecha/Metal Sonic from Sonic 3 & Knuckles; The best video game ever made) with the same treatment :D.

The Giant Mecha Sonic vs. Sonic set is an all-around winner! The Mecha Sonic not only looks fantastic, but is durable and has solid articulation, making it a great choice for kids and collectors! The light-up eye/jet pack is a fun touch, but hinders posability in the head, allowing for it to only move very slightly. Including a standard 2.5" Sonic figure won't excite longtime collectors who probably have a drawer full of them at this point, but will definitely be a welcome addition to anyone new to this line! Highly recommend this one!
