foam pieces are coming off after few plays and does not bounce effectively anymore

My son loves this basketball. Super fun and quiet to use in the house. But after a few weeks the orange foam starts to flake off and gets stuck in your carpet and clings to your socks. My last straw was picking the foam pieces off our dog.... We've had 3 and just started throwing them away once they start flaking off but I'm just over it.

Quieter than a regular basketball for sure. But still makes a little noise on hardwood floors. Great for practicing dribbling in the house. Bounces well but does seem to be deteriorating rather quickly. Picture shown after only 3 weeks

It’s quiet alright and it’s made of foam so perfect for the kids to play without breaking stuff at home. The drawback, however, is also relate to that it’s made of foam. It doesn’t have much of a bounce to it as a normal basketball does. It’s good quality foam but can get damaged with little kids so I can’t say much about how durable it might be. All in all, it’s a nice ball for the kids to play.
