Cuisinart 2-in-1 Waffle Maker with Removable Plate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was incredibly excited to get this waffle maker. I wanted the option to make both American and Belgium. I made waffles 8 different days - 3 American and 5 Belgium. The first five were almost flawless. I needed to cook the Belgium version about an extra minute to make them as dark as I preferred. And then, just like with some other reviewers, the waffles stuck to both the top and the bottom the plates, splitting the waffle in half. I had to peel and pry (with a silicone spatula and my fingers) it off of the plates. I tried everything - using cooking spray and not using spray. Note the first 5 successful ones were without spray. I tired preheating the maker longer. I tried chilling the batter to make it thicker. I tired cooking the waffles beyond the beep. (I was able to try many versions because each time that I made waffles, I had enough batter to make 2-3 waffles) I'm planning to call Cuisinart tomorrow to discuss returning it. I bought it less than a month ago.

This waffle fits the bill! Works great, cleans up beautifully. There are definitely more waffles in our future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it a few weeks ago and I'm really happy with it. If you follow directions you'll get great waffles and clean up is easy. This was a replacement for a waffle maker without removable plates that developed mold which was impossible to remove. The mold kept returning on the previous appliance. With the Cuisinart waffle maker I can put the plates in the dishwasher and they come out grease free. I'm now looking at other Cuisinart appliances.

The waffle maker operates fine. The plates are easy to clean and the classic waffle plates are fine. I have had it for over 2weeks and do not have any complaints. Hopefully it last several years.

This is exactly what I wanted. Makes small enough waffles for one person. The removable plates give me the option of doing either Belgian waffles or regular waffles. I prefer the regular waffles. Some of the other brands with the removable plates were for Belgian waffles only. I also like the included scoop which gives you the exact amount to put into the waffle maker. Overall, extremely pleased with it.

Cooking time with this waffle maker is a breeze. Your waffle is done soon after pouring the batter in it. Clean up time is so much fun now that I own a waffle maker with removeable plates. It's a game-changer.

This waffleiron replaces a Cuisinart waffleiron. I trust the name, Cuisinart. It's easy and simple to use. I love that this model is space saving. My only issue and reason for 4 stars is the heating odor even though I washed before using.

I have been looking for a waffle maker with removable, washable plates for years. Finally found this one that is easy to use and clean up and makes absolutely fantastic Belgian waffles. Thank you, Cuisinart!

Just received my 2 in 1 waffle maker and I love it! Makes delicious perfectly baked waffles and especially great Belgian waffles. Very easy to clean, and the interchangeable plates are sturdy and easy to insert. Best waffle maker I have ever purchased!

This waffle maker is just what I was looking for! It has removable plates that are dishwasher safe, the non-stick surface is great so you do not need to spray with oil, it has five settings and also has visual and audible alerts. What more could you ask for. It is also just the right size and so compact to store upright. The waffles cooked perfectly and I know this will get a lot of use.

I was so excited to receive this dual waffle maker! I loved that the plates are interchangeable and are easy to clean. I was disappointed when my waffles looked uncooked even though the temperature was set high. We like our waffles brown, and no matter how I set the temperature, they were consistently white. Had I not already recycled the box, I would have returned this item.

Nice size, not crisp. Used the Belgian waffle recipe provided by Cuisinart. It was just OK.

It is such a great one waffle maker, I am glad a purchased it.

FINALLY! A waffle maker that you can actually get clean! I have searched for years looking for a waffle maker with removable plates. SO easy to clean, with no worries about getting the unit wet and rendering it useless. It was a bonus to see that you received two sets of plates (one for standard waffles, one for Belgian).

I decided to order this specific waffle maker because if it’s features. The plates are removable which make cleaning easy, and they are dishwasher safe. There are also two sizes of plates - for regular-sized waffles and Belgian waffles. The manual also came with recipes. There was also a measuring cup with a line for batter for regular waffles, so you don’t overfill the regular plate. I highly recommend this waffle maker.

Great waffle maker! Really like that the plates come off for easy cleaning

This is a great little waffle maker. I used an all in one pancake mix but added a little vanilla and oil. It warms up pretty quickly and the timer works. At first I was worried that it was cooking too much but when it beeped my waffle was perfect. Non stick I use no oil in the plates. It does take a long while to cool down.

I've only had this waffle maker a short time, but it was easy to use, made decent waffles, was easy to clean and compact to store. If you are cooking for several people, though, it might be better to have a larger version.
