While baby isn't here yet, our cat is LOVING the newborn set for the Tripp Trapp. I'm very excited to have baby alongside while in the kitchen or having dinner!

Perfect newborn seat for family time
We absolutely love the Tripp Trapp Newborn Set. It allows our baby to sit comfortably at table height so they can be part of family meals and daily interactions. The seat feels very supportive and safe for a newborn, and the angle keeps the baby comfortable. The materials are soft and easy to clean, which is very helpful for busy parents. Installation was simple and it attaches securely to the Tripp Trapp chair. Overall, it’s beautifully designed, safe, and practical. It makes everyday moments with our baby much more interactive and enjoyable.

Awesome function
Have 3 of these chairs, best part is the newborn attachment. Puts baby up, away from the ground, dog, other children and allows for me to watch baby and interact even when I’m cooking dinner!

Worth the investment
I was skeptical on how useful the newborn set is but decided to take a chance and I’m glad I did! Technically you cannot use it to feed your baby a bottle but we love being able to strap her in while we eat at the table. We also often use it while we’re cooking so she has somewhere to hang out and watch. We also use the mobile arm attachment to hang toys and it keeps her entertained. The chair is very sturdy and beautiful, a great investment!

Perfect for a newborn!
My 5 day old baby already loves his chair! We put him in it when we’re hanging out on the couch and want him nearby us. It’s super compact and comfy for him - he always seems content when snuggled in his chair. We also bring it to our dining room table so he can sit with us while we eat dinner. I’m so excited that this chair will grow with him. Can’t recommend it enough - the quality is incredible, it’s super sturdy and makes us feel like our baby is safe, and he is well supported and comfy.

Long lasting comfort and durability!
Love love this high chair! It goes really nice with our decor and fits up right to our dining room table. We used it with our first child and now we are using it again with our second. We never had to buy a new one. It’s very durable and has been lasting us quite a few years.

Love it so much for our newborn and toddler
We love our Tripp Trapp high chair so much for our toddler that we had to get another one for our newborn! The newborn bundle is awesome. it keeps our little one safe and cozy, and I love having them up at the table with the rest of the family. It makes mealtime so much easier and more fun. Totally worth it!

Beautiful and functional high chair
I love that the Tripp Trapp grows with your child so that we can get many years of use out of it. The Natural Oak wood is beautiful and very well made. It was easy to put together, too. I can't wait to use this when our baby arrives in a few months!

Baby and toddler approved!
Been using the Stokke Tripp Trapp for a while now and honestly… it’s so good. Super solid, easy to clean, and looks so aesthetic in my kitchen. I love that my 3 month old can sit right at the table with us — it just makes meals feel more connected. And the fact that it grows with them? Feels like one of the few baby things that’s actually worth the investment. My 2 year old also loves sitting in his Tripp Trapp. So easy for him to get on and off on his own! Beautiful, functional, safe, and actually lasts.

The worst!
A true nightmare to clean. This was number one on my baby registry and was gifted the entire kit and kaboodle. It is an absolute nightmare to click and unclick the small tiny mechanisms to disassemble the chair to clean. And if you’re not instantly wiping off food, you can expect to get your chisel out. Will sell and purchase something that doesn’t require tools and fingers of steel to clean.

Sturdy but suction bowls don’t stick to tray
Nice sturdy chair, but we can’t find any bowls that suction to this tray. I don’t know what it’s made out of but it’s a problem that our entire moms group has. Just an FYI. It makes it hard to have good feeding experience. Also if you have a large dog (we have gold retriever) it isn’t tall enough to keep his nose off of..he loves it, but we thought it was taller

Safety Hazard - Broken Clip on Baby Set No Locks
We have been using our Trip Trap chair with baby set as well as the add on seat cushion. All seemed OK until I noticed today our child was able to pull the baby seat out of the seat plate. This is a significant safety hazard - the seat is supposed to clip into the seat plate and did for a while. However the plastic clip has now apparently worn out and does not lock into place. This part is not listed for sale under spare parts - but should be immediately replaced under warranty or voluntary recall program. The seat cushion design with the back straps for the baby harness is absolutely terrible - hard to remove in order to clean and wash it. Could have been much simpler to clean more Velcro around the rear harness straps.

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the experience you've had. It seems the issue you're describing may be related to the setup of the Tripp Trapp chair. If the front rail no longer clips in, it's likely due to improper placement, which can strain the chair and prevent proper function. We recommend reviewing the Tripp Trapp User Guide (digital version available) to ensure the setup meets the recommended parameters. A new Baby Set may not resolve the issue if the setup isn't adjusted correctly. Regarding the seat cushion design, we appreciate your feedback and will share it with our product team for future improvements. The Tripp Trapp is safe when assembled correctly, and we are here to help if you need further assistance. Thank you for your understanding.

Had 2 for twins. Not a fan.
The tray is so annoying to snap on and off. Babysitter couldn’t figure it out and the clip broke. The straps are also really awkward and don’t make for an easy on off. Sturdy and wipes fine. The Clikk high chair is way better. Wish the Tripp Trapp tray was built differently.

Not as described
The plastic baby part of the chair is way too small. My grandson could not fit in at the age of 4 month. Seems to be made for very small babies. Also, extremely difficult to remove the plastic part once installed. So far we have not been able to use the chair. Maybe once he is about 3 years old. Overpriced for what it is.

The worst straps known to man
I love everything about this high chair EXCEPT the straps. They are quite possibly the worst designed component of any product I have ever owned. Impossible to adjust, impossible to clean, impossible to unbuckle - which is insanely dangerous considering this is meant for babies just learning to chew and swallow solid food which poses a huge choking risk and being unable to unbuckle them from their high chair in an emergency is basically the biggest necessity. I have read countless reddit threads, watched numerous youtube videos, and read endless reviews from other sites selling this high chair and the verdict is the same across the board - everyone has these issues with the straps. This company clearly does not listen to their customers' concerns. The only resolution is to not use the straps, which is very frustrating. My 15mo baby is constantly trying to stand up and escape his chair, and I NEED straps to keep him held down, but unfortunately Stokke makes that an impossible feat.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear you love the high chair overall, but we understand your concerns regarding the harness. The Stokke harness is designed with safety as a top priority, and while it may take some getting used to, it is adjustable to ensure a secure fit. We appreciate that ease of use is important, and we will share your feedback with our product team for future improvements. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team for guidance on adjustments and maintenance to help improve your experience. PLASTIC TRAY CHIPS
This is a good chair. My child loves it. It's easily adjustable and not an eyesore. However, the tray is fully plastic and chips away. If you are planning on your children learning to use utensils and would like them to avoid having pieces of plastic in and around their food then maybe look elsewhere! Something that can easily be solved and adjusted but in a world where the ingestion of plastics is headline news...this chair doesn't help!
1 reply from Your Stokke® Family team - 1 year ago
Thank you for your feedback! We’re happy to hear that you and your child love the chair and its adjustability. The tray is made from sturdy, easy-to-clean plastic and is designed to withstand daily use. However, like any plastic surface, repeated direct contact with sharp objects will cause wear over time. If you have any concerns, our customer service team would be happy to assess further.

Great chair, bad paint
I have to say, I love the function of this chair and being able to bring our baby to the table with it. It’s very sturdy and I love that it can grow with our daughter. The downside - I have the white chair and the paint is wearing terribly! We have had this chair 5 months and the paint is cracking throughout the seat and footrest and there are multiple chips. We only use a damp cloth to clean it after meals. After investing in this chair, I’m disappointed to see it wearing so poorly after such a short time of use.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the functionality and sturdiness of the chair. Regarding the wear and tear on your white chair, we understand your concerns and truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please reach out to our customer service team directly so we can assess the cracking you are experiencing with you chair which is backed by a 7-year warranty. We’re here to help and want to ensure you continue to enjoy your investment for years to come!

Great ergonomics, poor practicality
I have mixed feelings about our Tripp Trapp (for a baby, but can’t speak for a toddler). I love the ergonomics of it. It seems very comfortable for our 8 month old. I don’t understand the design of the tray, as the bottom of it is difficult to clean due to all of the crevices/ nooks and crannies. Little baby fingers smear food all up in there. You also can’t suction anything to the tray, unfortunately, which is more of a nuisance than I thought it would be. The straps are very challenging to adjust (I gave up on it), but it sounds like this issue was addressed with the newer straps. So maybe my complaint is more about the tray than anything. Perhaps once we ditch the tray, we’ll have a more enjoyable experience with it. But for now, I don’t think I would purchase this high chair again (for the baby stage at least). I probably should have considered the Clikk over this.
1 reply from Your Stokke® Family team - 1 year ago
Here’s the updated response: Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the Tripp Trapp! We’re happy to hear that you appreciate its ergonomic design and that your little one finds it comfortable. Regarding the tray, for optimal cleaning, we recommend rinsing it promptly after use and using a soft brush for any hard-to-reach spots. While the tray isn’t designed for suction items due to its textured surface, we truly value your feedback and will share it with our product development team. We are continuously striving to improve, so your insights are greatly appreciated. Each high chair has its audience, and both the Tripp Trapp and Clikk are fantastic options—each designed to cater to different needs. The Tripp Trapp is an investment that grows with your child, offering unparalleled versatility and adjustability. It’s backed by a 7-year warranty, underscoring our commitment to quality and longevity. As your child transitions out of the Baby Set, we hope you’ll find even more value in the Tripp Trapp as it evolves to meet your family’s needs over the years.

The straps are terrible in all ways
The straps on this chair make me regret this purchase. They are so difficult to adjust, they are also very hard to click in and out of when the baby is strapped in. If there were an emergency and I needed to get my child out quickly, I would fail.
1 reply from Your Stokke® Family team - 1 year ago
Hi Mallory, Thank you for your feedback. The straps are designed to securely hold your child while using the chair, but we understand your concern. We recommend reaching out to our Customer Service team for assistance with adjusting the straps or troubleshooting their functionality. They can also confirm which version of the harness you have, as it has been recently enhanced. Safety is our top priority, and we want to ensure you have the best experience with your product.

Our baby loves it!
We love our Stokke! My baby is 4 months old and now wants to always be around people and socialize. She loves being at the same level as our family at the table and the Stokke lets her do this at just 4 months! I wish we could travel with it we love it so much.
